    Great video, really helpful. Although the hole point of the gloves is to actually use them while you are taking the sample 4:30.

    Me and my friends just broke into an abandoned and condemned house and think that we can probably refurbish it with a little love and whatnot. Asbestos is really my only worry. I found exactly what I was looking for in this video. Thanks

      No. As I mentioned in the video you are gonna need to check with your state to see where you can take it.

    How good is the TEM and PLM test ? I have had both done with negative results . My home has vermiculite popcorn ceilings for context . 8% vermiculite.

      You probably have to do multiple samples in different places and send to different labs to cover all your bases.

      @@ricosrealm Thankfully I found some abatement contractors to help me walk through everything. They trusted the lab and didn’t recommend the abatement process due to the negative test.

      Did more research: if it is less than 1% the PLM will not detect it unless you go with a more accurate 400 or 1000 point test. Those costs a lot more... $65-100. Less than 1% is not legally considered a harmful product. Standard PLM test is mostly guesswork as to percentage between 1-10%.

      A mask is pretty choice here. P100 is at least sufficient

    hi, i thought N95 filter is capable of blocking particles above 0.3 micron and since asbestos fibres range anywhere from 0.7 micron to 90 microns, why cant N95 filter asbestos?? @@

      It can. It may let up to 5% though though.

    Asbestos dust doesn't come out in the washing machine. You should of been wearing a disposable cover all. Also needed a decontamination area...water suppression isn't enough. Your clothes are contaminated! You contaminated everyone who uses the same washing machine as you.. I have a B class Asbestos removal Certification. Its my day job..... You shouldn't be giving advice..

      Asbestos does not burn. If you knew anything about asbestos you'd know that. That is the reason asbestos was used to begin with around heaters, fireplaces, anywhere heat is an issue. And then 10000 other uses as well.
