Replacing the Corsa D tailgate with a nice straight one.

- Ever since getting the Corsa for Chloe it has been visually 'challenged'.
One of the issues was the poorly painted and dented tailgate. We managed to find a used replacement on eBay (a while ago) and now it is time to fit it.

I have to warn you that I have no formal automotive training, and have just learned by breaking stuff. If you can learn anything from my mistakes then great, but you do so at your own risk!

Had my rear window smashed tonight on my 182,560 miles corsa d pizza delivery , I'm going to get a black tailgate instead of glass replacement a lot cheape. I was wondering how to get the main tailgate wiring out, now I know 😁, thank you for your great advice 👍

@@LarcsWorkshop Yes I got one for £45 even with the tinted glass perfect. Rejoined the block connector behind the plastic trim The only problem was I had to splice the 2 wires together for the top central brake light which was missing. Thanks again Sir 👍

Great video need to order the boot lid will you know if 3 door boot lid fit onto a 5 door?

Hi mate thanks for the video. Looks pretty straight forward. Did u have to do anything with the electrics/battery or was it just a straight swap?
It was just a straight swap. Luckily the place where I got it from disconnected it properly and didn't cut the wires.

Defo headlight and looking at access to them it looks like bumper off job, you got a video of this?
Sorry, not done a bulb in one of these. It seems a bit daft having to take the bumper off to change the bulb though.
I have a problem with my drivers side head light, it’s on but when I park the car up next to the garage door there is no light there🤷♂️
Altering the height as in your video the light doesn’t move, any ideas, I’m thinking the bulb is in upside down is this at possible
Yes, could well be put in wrong. Normally there is a lug or key that locates it correctly in the headlight housing. Also check that the headlight is working and it's not just the sidelight you are seeing.

Hi. The main cable has a small lead , very thin rubber. It leads to a different whole after putting through the main loop. What I'd the essence of it. On the new tailgate it is just a loose stretch tube by the looks of it

Hi, Im having issues with my Corsa D with the service light coming on, any ideas whats causing this?
Hi, if the service isn't due I'd start by just checking all the fluid levels (oil, coolant, brake fluid etc) if they're all ok, you'll have to get the fault code read to find the issue. It could be any number of things, sorry.
Are you sure it's the service light and not the engine management light?
