I think the little flap of the cover might be a bookmark. You tuck in the pages, so when you open the notebook it takes you directly to the last page you used. Also love the voiceover!! You did great!

The flap is a bookmark. When the book is open, you lay the flap on the page and then close the book… next time you need to return to that page… just use the flap as a guide and pop it open. Voila.
