The thing i find incredibly funny, is that reading on Sephi's lore, he's quite literally a spoiled child who desecrated the bodies of Gods and just decided that killing people is okay because his doombringing mother was in a tube. Hell, he's not even that powerful, his strongest attack is a teleport/illusion to an already exploding universe, meaning someone who simply can see tricks and illusions would be just fine and remove it. God I hate vsbattles wiki. Frisk Undertale is not FTL because they can dodge a cartoon-lightning-shaped magic blast, especially when actual realistic-looking lightning in another fight hits instantly. I shouldn't need to mention anything else to prove how awful that source is with scaling.
@TooFewSecrets yeah the site is a bit confusing, I was reading the attack potency or striking strength (I forget) and it said how it was attacks direct power output and wasn't based off of distance of the attack, yet I see people scaled to islands for stuff that wouldn't kill someone if it hit them. I don't get landmass it's purely distance based, most people can destroy rock dirt and whatnot. Show us the pure power exerted from attacks instead
@@koboldwizard I'll outline the issue with how they scale: Say some Marvel villain has an orbital laser set up that could piece through to the Earth's core and detonate it, blowing up the planet. The beam is very thin, so Captain America dives underneath it and reflects it with his essentially invincible shield, reflecting it at the space station and blowing it up. Obviously this doesn't mean Cap himself could tank the space laser, just his shield that's known to be very good at deflecting things, but on vsbattles, they'll try and say that it does. Saner battleboards call this an outlier - even if he did tank the beam with his face, if he's regularly getting bruised up by regular thugs with lead pipes it'll get ignored because the writer was probably just smoking crack when writing that comic. Vsbattles however just sees this one feat and declares Cap to be multi-planetary durability because he tanked a planet-busting attack. Now let's say in another comic, Cap and Iron Man get into a fight, and Iron Man catches Cap with a laser blast, knocking him out. Because Cap is already unjustly scaled to multi-planetary durability, this makes Iron Man's beams also multi-planetary. Even though in the same issue Iron Man blasts a building with the same beam and only makes a human-sized hole to enter through. Again, other sites would call this an outlier even if Cap was actually justifiably scaled to extreme durability, because we know Iron Man isn't blowing holes through mountains on a daily basis. Vsbattles sees this and just makes Iron Man a multi-planetary hitter. Now take everyone else who ever fought with Iron Man, and of course because Iron Man hits at a multi-planetary level, every one of those characters have that level of durability. And now a bunch of street-tier Marvel characters, through a chain of fights a dozen characters long, are all apparently tankier than an entire planet, even though they're threatened by normal handguns. Clearly all handguns in the Marvel universe are actually galaxy-busting weapons of mass destruction. This happens a LOT with speed - dive out of the way of someone's aim, not even Matrix-dodging the bullets? Clearly you're massively supersonic and the whole setting scales. Was he using a laser gun? Massively FTL. Even if clearly everyone in the universe is moving at normal human speeds in every other situation. Or even if a plot point in-universe is the difficulty of FTL transportation.

It's not just the fact that Mario and Luigi's special are super busted, but the fact that all damage that enemies can try on them, can be avoided or repelled back. So, all depending on the skill level of the "player" Sephi is just fighting a battle he already lost.

The thing i find incredibly funny, is that reading on Sephi's lore, he's quite literally a spoiled child who desecrated the bodies of Gods and just decided that killing people is okay because his doombringing mother was in a tube. Hell, he's not even that powerful, his strongest attack is a teleport/illusion to an already exploding universe, meaning someone who simply can see tricks and illusions would be just fine and remove it. Seriously, anyone who has significant combat experience would effortlessly beat him if he didnt plunge down on them like a coward.

God I hate vsbattles wiki. Frisk Undertale is not FTL because they can dodge a cartoon-lightning-shaped magic blast, especially when actual realistic-looking lightning in another fight hits instantly. I shouldn't need to mention anything else to prove how awful that source is with scaling.
@TooFewSecrets yeah the site is a bit confusing, I was reading the attack potency or striking strength (I forget) and it said how it was attacks direct power output and wasn't based off of distance of the attack, yet I see people scaled to islands for stuff that wouldn't kill someone if it hit them. I don't get landmass it's purely distance based, most people can destroy rock dirt and whatnot. Show us the pure power exerted from attacks instead

Say some Marvel villain has an orbital laser set up that could piece through to the Earth's core and detonate it, blowing up the planet. The beam is very thin, so Captain America dives underneath it and reflects it with his essentially invincible shield, reflecting it at the space station and blowing it up. Obviously this doesn't mean Cap himself could tank the space laser, just his shield that's known to be very good at deflecting things, but on vsbattles, they'll try and say that it does. Saner battleboards call this an outlier - even if he did tank the beam with his face, if he's regularly getting bruised up by regular thugs with lead pipes it'll get ignored because the writer was probably just smoking crack when writing that comic. Vsbattles however just sees this one feat and declares Cap to be multi-planetary durability because he tanked a planet-busting attack.
Now let's say in another comic, Cap and Iron Man get into a fight, and Iron Man catches Cap with a laser blast, knocking him out. Because Cap is already unjustly scaled to multi-planetary durability, this makes Iron Man's beams also multi-planetary. Even though in the same issue Iron Man blasts a building with the same beam and only makes a human-sized hole to enter through. Again, other sites would call this an outlier even if Cap was actually justifiably scaled to extreme durability, because we know Iron Man isn't blowing holes through mountains on a daily basis. Vsbattles sees this and just makes Iron Man a multi-planetary hitter.
Now take everyone else who ever fought with Iron Man, and of course because Iron Man hits at a multi-planetary level, every one of those characters have that level of durability. And now a bunch of street-tier Marvel characters, through a chain of fights a dozen characters long, are all apparently tankier than an entire planet, even though they're threatened by normal handguns. Clearly all handguns in the Marvel universe are actually galaxy-busting weapons of mass destruction.
This happens a LOT with speed - dive out of the way of someone's aim, not even Matrix-dodging the bullets? Clearly you're massively supersonic and the whole setting scales. Was he using a laser gun? Massively FTL. Even if clearly everyone in the universe is moving at normal human speeds in every other situation. Or even if a plot point in-universe is the difficulty of FTL transportation.
@TooFewSecrets yeah it's not very consistent, oh this person survived a punch form someone who matched their strength which is island level, must have island level durability, yeah I doubt they'll be able to survive a tsar bombs worth of tnt.
It's not just the fact that Mario and Luigi's special are super busted, but the fact that all damage that enemies can try on them, can be avoided or repelled back. So, all depending on the skill level of the "player" Sephi is just fighting a battle he already lost.
I would pay DOUBLE the price of a switch game to get a new Mario & Luigi game

Considering Sephiroth can literally time travel in the latest game... it's a draw at best for him. He gets stomped so easily by the bros and even if he tries going back in time, he'll just lose again and again.
