Of domestic life. Flemish and Dutch still lifes from the 17th century

This small exhibition-presented by Teresa Posada Kubissa, curator of Flemish Painting and Northern Schools at the Prado National Museum in this video-is made up of 11 Flemish and Dutch still lifes made in the 17th century by Osias Beert, Pieter Claesz, Willem Claesz Heda, Floris Claesz van Dijck, Jan Davidsz de Heem and Clara Peeters. These are some of the most renowned artists among those who made the misleadingly named "still life" one of the most characteristic genres of Northern European painting.
