Give Nikken more time, but chose really awkward holds. Like jugs on a slab and target 7b+. Or slopy crimps on 60° wall 6c. I think he might have some cool creative ideas.
If Nikken is blind to the holds and then has 10 minutes to set a route, then once Nikken begins setting you guys should turn around. Then when Nikkens 10 minutes are up, you guys turn around and have 10 minutes to send! Route setters vs climbers!!

Can confirm, this boulder was an absolute banger! Can't believe it was only set in 10 minutes. It was so intricate and delicate to climb that I was sure it would need a lot of tweaking to get right. Great video!

How it started 1:30 vs how it ended 19:46 ... Nikken is on another level man. If you really wanna challenge him you need to tie up one of his hands to one of his feet and give him a screw driver instead.... only then he might struggle. Hats off to you sir.
He's also freaking strong, has more technique in his pinky toe than me in my entire body, and he seems like a cool dude to just hang out with. Very nice to watch.

Nikken is a setting genius! this could be a new sport. speed setting. 4 setters all the get the same 10 holds and get 10 minutes to set them. you then have any number of climbers attempt the four climbs like in a competition and the scoring is based on how much separation you can create between the climbers just like in a competition. so if everyone sends your set or if no one sends your set, you get 0 points for the round. you ideally want a distribution of how many climbers can who top out, zone, or don't get past the 2nd move. something like that.
so correct me if I'm wrong, but setting a hold consists of just straight up placing it anywhere and drilling a screw into the wall? i always assumed they tried to line it up with existing holes, wouldn't this ruin the wall eventually?

You should have a bag with different prompts (ex: toe hook, face the crowd start, hand jam, etc) and have him have to pull one before each build
