Me? 12 years of intense music theory daily, even on weekends, including opera, chamber music, the entire Chess records catalog, Stephen Foster, Bach, Stones, Haydn, different musical modes and scales, ballet, GnR, Elvis, ragtime, skiffle, Wagner, Mozart, etc. I’ve composed music for punk bands, owned and operated a music venue, play several brass and string instruments, and work with orchestras using period instruments. Guess what I’m listening to and enjoying? This nightcore music. Even if I had zero musical experience, it doesn’t matter. People will like what they like. I know the entire Zeppelin catalogue by heart, every beat that Bonham put to record, but this nightcore zombie music is what I’m choosing right now. Must everyone like exactly what you like? Lol. Get over yourself. People can enjoy any kind of music.
