The only thing that old gpo was better at than current gpo was that fruits were actually rare and not worthless but that’s about it. Current gpo has so many new and more complex mechanics that make the game more fun, replayable, and sets it apart from other anime games currently

The problem with current gpo is just the upd quality, the last upds have been fun for a little while but quickly turn super grindy and annoying for example impel, at first most people loved it then phoeyu decided to gut ever method to solo and then people started getting tired of doing the same thing for 30 minutes over and over till you have enough for mythic chest. Later the halloween upd which honestly wasnt even that important, they added dullahan which nobody uses anymore and they added both baal head boses who where kinda fun for a while but got annoying after a while. The last upd being anniversary upd, which thankfully isnt afk sim but still got boringgg super fast, having to do the puzzles everytime made it even worse, santa also got added who honestly wasnt even that bad but following him got annoying quick thankfully the droprates where high and it wasnt super grindy.
recently they've def stepped up there game after dressrosa upd, caues they are giving us events again and impel was a 2. also 2 br seasons withing like 3 months was pretty nice

honestly, i found gpo really fun until they added second sea. The quality of the game imo dropped and it felt more and more tedious to play everytime. they started adding non one piece weapons and it got really bad lol. imo, peak gpo was when wars at shell town would happen and black leg without any fruit was good.
ngl even though the game has a lot more aspects now I would pay to go back to update 0-1, those days were the best having wars at shells and using rokugan to shoot ppl into the water. The reason the game isn't that good now is because 1. Making a world chat completely removed the use of the snail phone and made it feel less adventurous. 2. It's essentially pay to win now with the BP and ASE in the shop, 3. There are too many people focused on becoming rich instead of actually playing the game and fighting like it was meant to be. If he wanted to fix it, I would say remove trading for items, fruit trading only. Remove global chat, and make ASE cheaper and remove paid BP because then you are forced to actually play and get better at the game. Also, a wager system should be implemented (idk if there's one already but I haven't seen it)
The dressrosa update wasnt that bad, but the only reason I was hyped for it was gear 2 and when I saw how to get it I got so deflated I never played again.. if they made the quest shorter I would at least try to do it, like for example, not needing to kill 10 krakens at the end for no reason, like, you need to get a not guaranteed kraken drop to even start the quest
Since Battle Royal made fruits common the game got much worse, even the traiding. GPO was good because it was hardcore, now everything is either a trading simulator or do fuck all simulator.

Using only sword style in pvp to stomp kids (back when it was fun to use it) getting my first legendary fruit. Kinda crazy how big a fumble it was looking back, but im glad I at least got to play during its peak.

Well they might be looking at a “spoilers “ perspective when it comes to the whole streaming Maintence thing. Maybe they think that streaming the entire update kinda spoils it for everyone and dies the hype down or something like that which might work. Gpo has been on a steady decline even before this change so it can only be because of inconsistent and very little updates a year + it not having much content at all. I think They’re trying to solve it by adding replayable gameplay like battle Royale and impel down but that gets old at some point too

In fact gpo is the reason I got a pc the game Helped me kickstart my views for my channel and really pushed me to start my dream. it's sad that they are complaining about you guys, I made a video that got 24k views with like 20 subs 4 days after the update LOL. Well they might be looking at a “spoilers “ perspective when it comes to the whole streaming Maintence thing. Maybe they think that streaming the entire update kinda spoils it for everyone and dies the hype down or something like that which might work. Gpo has been on a steady decline even before this change so it can only be because of inconsistent and very little updates a year + it not having much content at all. I think They’re trying to solve it by adding replayable gameplay like battle Royale and impel down but that gets old at some point too
