I too tend to suffer from anxiety from time to time. I went to counseling which helped and I had a realization that all of my anxiety was based in fear. That I had spiritual warfare going on. After two years of being nearly fully anxiety free it surfaced again last week. It is always scary and unsettling. I had a sense of hope that I had not had before because I knew it was temporary and that it doesn’t define me. When I feel it coming on I tell myself FAITH BIGGER THAN fear and that those anxious feelings are not God’s purpose, seed or promise. Therefore, they are not serving God or me. I hope my experience and empathy can serve you today. I have already prayed for you and will do so again. In fact, you let me know I am not alone and neither are you.

I've struggled, as a child of God, with marijuana for many years. I would quit, then after a season of believing I was focused on God, I would be led astray by temptation and fall again. I came to an epiphany after hearing this story: A man went around a certain town with a mission to destroy all alcohol. Going door to door, he would enter a house and destroy all the bottles he found. After a week, he returned to the first house, and to his dismay, there was alcohol in the cupboard. He then realized something, the bottles were not the problem, but the factory producing the bottles was. We are the factory. Once we realize the problem is not the things we do, but who we are, we can grasp the new life Jesus offers, and the rest he promises. To let out that breath of surrender, and focus on the freedom we have in Christ, we can begin to relax. Failures will arrive, along with temptations, but after we fall, we get back up, wipe the dirt off, and move forward. We must move forward in surrender, waving the white flag.
I needed this. I’m just adjusting my status here in the US and I’m close to get my green card now but due to unclear vision, confusion about my purpose, unbelief, I had thought and imagined to maybe go back to Mexico so many times but more lately. It has been a hard season for me since I moved two years ago. I’ve seen how God had place me on trials these whole time (not just on pandemic) in order to make a transformation in myself but the discourage and feeling of loneliness sometimes was unavoidable and therefore I end up drowning myself in negative thoughts and looking to go back. Thank you Pastor Rick!! For this series and for helping me to look at my future with Faith!!✨

I love that even though Caleb was in his 80s when he received his inheritance, he said he still felt strong and energized enough that he would enjoy it as if he were still young. Time passed but God blessed him with youthful energy. I ask God for things that I imagine may come when I am old. I don't know, but I know God is doing things now because of prayers in the past and that continue today. Would you please pray for my family to make the necessary changes that we can pay our bills and one day have a home? My husband and I have 3 boys in a small 2 bedroom rental. We are grateful but there is mold that has been making us ill. Our medical bills are piling up. We are both working but covid has really hurt my husband's business. I just want to tell you that even though we are in a dark season of life, we are God’s children. He loves us and He IS IN CONTROL. Our relationship with God is not based on feelings, it is based on trust. Don’t let your anxiety, depression or panic attacks confuse you. I myself have suffered from anxiety for many years but I have learned that God will never fail me and will pull through for me, no matter how I feel. When I start feeling afraid I pray that He wrap his arms of love around me and make me feel secure, and He does. ❤️ No matter where you are, or how you are feeling- God loves you, and I do too. Dear Pastor Rick, I would like to thank you for your style in teaching. If you would have said that a Pastor of a Mega Church was going to guide me closer to the Lord, I would of said your nuts. Im sure that what Im telling you is something you already know by the growth of saddleback. Through out my life I desired to want to be closer to God and it always was a struggle because it was half hearted. You somehow are able to communicate the scripture in a way that keeps me yearning for more, and In a way I can understand.. I had exactly the same problem. What helped me was tapping into my gifts and refresh my mindset in general. We all have different unique gifts and so do you. 😍 We have to remove the boundaries that we set ourselves (toxic thoughts like thinking we are not worthy,have nothing to offer, are not good enough etc.) praying for healing and that you are starting a process connecting with gods vision for you. 🙌💙🙏

The very first question that popped was, why was it necessary to send spies to the land? in my simple mind i thought, well you gotta find out if there is work there before you move there. and then i saw your podcast on Insta and I was like wow!!!! it was like God talking to me face to face answering my inquisitiveness. I wish this message could have focused more on the positive and maybe talk about 5 ways to live by faith versus fear...instead of just reiterating all the negative traps we find ourself in
I was thinking exactly the same thing. Why always let us know that we are "this and that", that we lose hope, lose faith, lose direction, complain, get tired, etc., instead of building us up, reminding more of good things and filling with positivity. A heavy aftertaste lately.

The very first question that popped was, why was it necessary to send spies to the land? in my simple mind i thought, well you gotta find out if there is work there before you move there. and then i saw your podcast on Insta and I was like wow!!!! it was like God talking to me face to face answering my inquisitiveness.
Thank you Ps Rick Warren for allowing God to make you a vessel so we can be blessed with more understanding. I truly believe that God uses so many vessels to speak to us. If we search for Him with all our hearts, He will never disappoint us.

I wish this message could have focused more on the positive and maybe talk about 5 ways to live by faith versus fear...instead of just reiterating all the negative traps we find ourself in
I was thinking exactly the same thing. Why always let us know that we are "this and that", that we lose hope, lose faith, lose direction, complain, get tired, etc., instead of building us up, reminding more of good things and filling with positivity. A heavy aftertaste lately.

one suggestion is that when we watch a pre-recording video, the only living beings there at the moment is the listener and God; Thank God that God is also there at the pre-recording session with the preacher - Good news - God is omnipresent and God is much needed to be the focus during hearing sermons online
