Today I can present to you an "AMTV Heritage"...showing you some footage of a car we've already driven and recored in the past. But as we sometimes still have unpublished footage and today have the possibility to show those cars in even better video quality (60FPS & better post editing) we are presenting the 2014 Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe today. The car is powered by the glorious 6.2 liter V8 and thanks to the performance package offers 487 hp! @@Aaron-jp4de nah the 4.3 aston v8 sounds better, the 5.0 xkr sounds pretty much the same as the amg, the Ferrari/Maserati F136 along with aston 4.3 are the best sounding non-screamer v8s in the world, even though the maserati/ferrari engine is crossplane it sounds more like the voodoo ford v8

I just want to say it's wrong, the sound is not the same, the 6.2 has a deeper sound.
And I'm not saying that the engine is not good or that the sound is not good.

@xellossaxon he that hears more detail in the sound doesn't show thaf he's a fool but your ears are defective. Literally anybody else cam tell that the 6.2 sounds richer because the 4.0 with turbos absorbs a lot of the higher frequencies of sound. If you're telling the truth that you own both and can't tell the difference then you gotta get your ears checked. I've heard both in real life too and not only is the NA one more melodious but louder as well.

The 63 moniker is a tribute to many of the first V8s in AMG history which displaced 6.3 liters. The current C63/GT/E63 has a 4.0 liter engine, the last E63 had a 5.5 liter and the S65/G65 has a 6.0 liter V12
True to a point. However, engines in Germany are measured every 100cc, and this one just happens to (barely) surpass 6200cc, so it is technically a 6.3L engine, if by German standards. An M-B staff member said this in the comments section of a video featuring the engine. This does, however, make the nomenclature of the 65 and 63 cars of today a touch more confusing, though it can be said they are heritage-based numbers.

It sounds like a 392. Which yes, also sounds very good, but it’s not close to the best sounding American V8. Both of the Ford 5.2s, the LS7, the Hellephant crate, the 289 HiPo, the 427 Cammer, the 2013 GT500 Super Snake, and the 426 Hemi all sound miles better than this.
And now the new C63s will only be 4-cylinders SMH

Völliger Quatsch, es gibt genügend Vergleiche zwischen dem 4,0 Turbo sowie dem 6,2 Sauger hier auf TH-cam, einfach mal vorbeischauen für die Leute die auf'm Land wohnen ;). Beides tolle Motoren, aber der 6,2 ist einfach eine andere Liga - kurzgesagt der beste Motor den AMG jemals verbaut hat. Wer da den Unterschied nicht kennt (und schätzt) ist entweder taub, ignorant oder hat einfach keine Ahnung.
@xellossaxon Du beweist hier deine komplette Unwissenheit, was Motorentechnik angeht. Ein Turbo killt den Sound... einfach mal informieren, bevor man falsche Dinge behauptet.
@xellossaxon Sorry aber entweder hast du schlechte Ohren oder bist ein Troll. Man erkennt sofort den Sound Unterschied zwischen dem 6.2 und dem 4.0. Beim Vergleich 6.2 und 5.5 ist der Unteschied wieder etwas schwerer, als Laie hört man da keinen Unterschied, aber ich bitte dich der 4.0 hat soundtechnisch einen komplett anderen Charakter. Turbos schlucken bei jedem Hersteller den Sound, wieso sollte es beim AMG anders sein...

It's a shame cars like this have those limiters...
Do you mean limiters in terms of top speed of revs? As for top speed, you can pay extra when speccing the car and get the limit raised significantly, so it's not too bad.
@xellossaxon Ganz einfach, es gibt auch Rennstrecken außerhalb Deutschlands die man besuchen kann, Besitzer solche Fahrzeuge nutzen gerne die Möglichkeit um das Auto an die Grenzen zu bringen. Solltest vorallem du als "Besitzer" wissen.
@xellossaxon Spielt doch keine Rolle ob das selten ist oder nicht, die Möglichkeit besteht die Leistung auszunutzen, wenn auch an sehr wenigen Orten - für manche ist es jedoch auch ausreichend einfach zu wissen das die "Karre" nicht limitiert ist, also eher etwas psychologisches. Wer kauft schon gerne ein Produkt mit einer künstlichen, nicht notwendigen, Limitierung ?

aachencity89 Versicherung ist für jeden anders. ich zahle bei max. boni (55%) 2400 im jahr. Steuer 420euro(Luxemburg). 1 satz reifen 1200. bremsen-set 3000 euro.

eben nicht, es sind mehr als 6,2l, es sind 6,208 und wegen den 8ccm gilt er als 6,3l.
Aber eigentlich ist es mir egal, nennt ihn 6,2l, ändert ja nichts an dem schönen Motor, denn der ist als Sauger klasse.
