When and if you ever had the pleasure of watching Esteban live, you would listen, watch his maniacal manner on stage, and in the end, stand in total awe of the pure musical genius that was "El Parche!" Truly the Jimi Hendrix of la onda. Sorely missed, but eternally remembered thanks to his music!
dang i love Steve Jordan, he is known as the Jimi Hendrix of Accordion..I have almost all of his cd's, this guy got me into conjunto music many years ago,i've seen many of my favorite conjunto artists play live but Steve Jordan was the best out of them all...

@TexazTwinTV The name of that song is called, "El Corrido De Jhonny El Pachuco" and you can find the song on itunes under "The Many Sounds Of Steve Jordan". I'll ask the guy if he can upload the video because it's awesome but the sound had been ereased,
well, noone can top Steve Jordan.... he is the original and if you listen closely there are many 'replicas' or 'wanna-be's' but he is truly the man himself...........
Hey BRO, don't be so quick to put yourself up on a pedestal yet. Respect the artists that have paved the way for you. Sure someone can learn the techniques, style, flava of others but remember they brought it first. Put your time in and like you said God willing you will get there, Good luck.
I think your right. Originally, Steve Jordan did this song sometime around mid 1970's. It was re-issued on the Arhoolie label sometime in the early 1980's and I have a copy. This song is a Chicanoized version and kicks ass!
Even Juan Villarreal admitted that he couldn't do Or play what Esteban Jordan would play on the accordion. Even Juan would admit that Esteban Jordan was a better accordion player.
