Great find. I bought a new 413G stove dated 08/77 unused earlier this year. Works like a champ. Grew up with Coleman stoves & lanterns, love the hiss. We camp a lot, as in 2 times a month, and 8 monthes of the year. I have several types of cooking setups, most are propane, and a small wood/charcoal portable grille. I decided that to regress to a white gas stove was an easier way to go, I was right, once. lol We have used Coleman lanterns for our night lighting chores for years. Your channel came up in my feed. Great vid, I do like your chuck box concept, very innovative design. Subscribed to your channel. From Central Texas hello. See you on the trail.

The 1977 stove was a great find. I know some people think everyone needs one and other think it is a bother to use the white gas stoves. You sound like the right person for the stove. I also have 3 small Colman stoves, two of them were sold under the Peak1 brand. It says Colman in small print. Texas weather is better this time of year. Make some new memories and take the youth with you so they can disconnect and feel free from the digital age. The chuck box is coming out soon. Thanks for watching to the end.

That is great. The fuel holds up for years. But I just pulled out my 1979 Colman that I used about 5 years ago and found the pump needs a new seal. Check it now to make sure it still works. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I bought one 14 yrs ago at Walmart, I think it cost $99.00, It's a duel fuel, but I've only used white gas! And I think I still got a good deal, high quality, old school tec. I think they quit making them, so I'm glad I got one! Great for car camping or when the power goes out! Mine looks brand new, I think I'm going out to the garage and pull it out and fire it up@??

Just stumbled on this - I ain't used mine for some time. Don't look away before you light it... was on a Scouting campout and another Scout turned it up higher 😂 definitely will surprise you! Use my lantern more often. Never did, but wanted to get one of those kitchens - stand/table setups - probably can't find any nowadays. This was definitely a great find, they're all bottled gas ones now.

have one one from maybe the 80s not sure have a propane Coleman as well about a year or two ago got one of the single burner dual fuel stoves just a better option vs propane for one you just open the cap and see how much fuel you have to there’s options of what you can burn in case of an emergency and only have gasoline it works not as good as Coleman fuel but you can boil water and cook a meal so that’s what counts another great video hope there’s more wood cook stove content coming as it’s winter time / holidays everything taste better on a woodstove

Dad bought one back in 1972 or 1973. We had a bad ice storm that winter and when the weatherman predicted it a few days prior, Dad ran out to KMart and bought the 2 burner stove and a couple gallons of fuel. We cooked on that for about two weeks while we were without power. It sat unused in his basement after that because we weren't campers and we never had another power outage that warranted breaking it out again. After Dad died, it sat neglected in my basement for about ten years before I decided to set it up and see if it still worked. It didn't, so I bought parts to rebuild the pump, cleaned everything and got it working, then needed it a few months later during a prolonged power outage. I had a can of 1970s Coleman fuel and it worked fine, that probably around 2010. Haven't used it since, but keep thinking I'm going to get it out and make sure it still works.

    • @badbadbob1
