Valuable lesson learned, I’m happy the person who reported the issue did so privately instead of taking you down. I’m happy you relaxed and took a lil vaccy! Keep it going and as always, best of luck
I am 14 year old and I am looking forward to learn from you to start my own startup Could you provide a roadmap on how to start coding and developing at a young age maybe by next year I will be capable enough BTW I have my computer science exam tomorrow Wish me luck Edit - To be honest I made a lot of silly mistakes But it was a 25 marks paper so I think at the very least I will score above 22
Hello, Edmund. I'm a solo founder like you, living in Dongdaemun and hanging out at Signature Gym, so it's even better to see you. :) Anyway, I was wondering if you could give me some advice on how to start building a web service with coding when my technical background is “0”? I don't want to be a developer, but I don't have the temperament to sit through lectures and learn theories.
Just a ux suggestion please include a darker shade of every color. Being a dark mode lover i want my workspace to look clean and minimal so if you can add the dark tones of all the color you are providing for folder background then it will be great. BTW loved the extention. Thankyou 😄
Hey @Edmund Yong I an also fellow developer working in next.js. I got one question in my mind, at 1:52 can you explain bit more about how your key got exposed? Did it got exposed even after using environment variables.??
Been contemplating if I should quit my 9-5 and go after my dream or stick to the golden handcuffs. This is especially hard when you're the son of a first-generation immigrant, where your parents left their home country to come provide you with a better life, or at least that's their perspective of it (which isn't wrong by any means). But when you wake up every day, you begin to realize that you're just living someone else's dream and aren't really fulfilled. It may pay handsomely but doesn't really provide a real sense of pride. It may for most people if their whole aim has been to work at a big company, but there are a few of us that dream bigger and want to escape "the matrix". Stumbled upon your videos by random and I'm taking it as God's sign for the leap of faith that I just need to take in myself, with God, and go for it just like you did. Thank you for starting this channel, I'm hoping there are way more others out there like me that used this as inspiration for their journey!
Just realized I didn't subscribe Since, and I've watched all your videos. I love these videos where people point out mistakes they've made, makes you seem human 😮. Here's that sub
im 13, been coding since like 9 or 10 and have been trying to develop a startup based off an idea i had abt youtube or sm.... turns out 20 days into development with an amazing backend and frontend i realized the youtube quotea was 10k so all progress gone for now but i'll def brainstorm a new idea
I have my own app to grow into startup soon. I'd like to join the community as I was amazed how you build your own idea into a solution in jus a short period of time. I was curious regarding your planning and execution strategies.
Love your videos keep up the great work. It is always interesting to see people grow while working for the passion. May i ask you what are the specs of your macbook? Thinking about upgrading mine.
playing devils advocate, i think its cause their playing into the “same frontend and backend language” and if ever they come to it hiring for JS is cheap
Rails resources are not widely available, and I believe it's much easier for someone to learn JavaScript directly rather than going through HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and then Laravel. On top of that, frontend development comes with its own frameworks and libraries to consider. Many developers just want to create something quickly without learning a new technology every time. They prefer a streamlined approach, and that's my perspective.
PHP is shit and shouldn't be used for web development anymore. Rails has not enough guides and documentation to get started with easily. Js is easy to use for teams and has a lot of documentation
Maybe it’s just because they’re more familiar with it? I could spin up a full stack app in Next.js within a few hours but would need weeks to learn Ruby+Rails or PHP+Laravel.

Is that nano textured glass? How was it for coding, not blurry?
I came across your videos and it has been inspiring. I am leaving my big tech job to become a programmer and hope to my own products.
Look forward to the launch!
how are you able to code on a 14 in. device? Even though I also do the same, but I always feel that a large monitor would be of huge help to me

Currently using the 14 inch M3 Max - it's great
what laptop is that?
DOnt understand why ppl use Js stack for their start up when they can use Rails or Laravel to speed up the development...
