The red dot on the j series is 10* not 16* just in case that’s how they were checking timing. Different the the other Honda motors. Four ports are very sensitive and have big changes. I’ve heard 2x 3 ports have a finer tuning ability. But why not just use a single 3 port and add boost to the top hat on the wastegate? Seems like it’d be easier. We have multiple 1000+ hp cars just doing that. Was really hoping to see some good numbers. Did you delete 5th or 6th out of that trans? Better think about it if not.
All that bobbing around reminds me of operating heavy machinery! The dyno rodeo appears to need a fan crowd. Appears consistent makes the perfect ride! This is On-The-Job training, so much better than a school!
That really sucks you’re struggling to control boost. Maybe the Mac valve is bad? Hopefully you guys can get it figured out. Electrical gremlins really suck. Enjoy watching your videos as always!
IF you have and unsprung clutch that's adding alot to the jerk when hitting any type of cut, that's why I run 6 puck sprung clutch for any car ima Street drive at all.
Morgan put the engine together for us and conveniently was tuning his car a week after we got the engine back. PFI had just gotten back in town and are busy folks, this just worked out well
Right and they even have classes on tunning kyle and wyatt have their certification for tuning now althought they dont have a dyno yet they’re certified to tune any car on fuel tech :)
We had identical boost controller issues last time we were on their dyno, this wasn’t a tuning problem lol it was a wiring/ AEM problem. That’s why we can a manual boost controller all last year
