So many rude comments from people who obviously don't understand fibre art or art in general. It's not difficult to click on his channel to see the multitude of other tutorials he's made. Honestly, I'm growing less fond of people every day.

Living in an apartment there's no room for this kind of art - but as the front, or both sides, of a cushion this would work in any home, everybody has space for a beautiful "no touch look only" cushion ❤
It isn't felt until it's touched
I have made seat cushions before. As in felt that replaced the fabric of chairs. It works great if well felted

How gorgeous and fascinating! I'm so glad plenty other people have shown respect and admiration for your art and your process. But I'm embarrassed by all of the negative comments- why people think it's ok to insult someone's artwork is beyond me. Maybe they never watched the movie "Bambi" growing up. "If you can't say sumthin' nice, don't say nothin' at all." You're not being charged or forced to watch this, people. If you have nothing nice to say, go tell your therapist about it.

По мере просмотра видео у меня было несколько версий о происхождении данного изделия, которые постепенно отметались.
1. Сидушка для унитаза?
2. Шерстятной коврик для туалета?
3. Диванная подушка?
По итогу это все превратилось в шляку гриба из Марио.

Как сделать видео, сделав ручной войлочный сосуд из мериносовой шерсти и ткани шарфа для текстуры. Не предназначен как функциональный объект, а произведение искусства.
Большая часть цветовой линии видна только в конце, когда ее внимательно просматривают.

This is very cool! I’m completely confused on the whole cut out resist thing though! Haha!
He explains the process in other comments. Basically, he feels where the fibres haven't bonded yet, cuts a small hole and then follows the shape of the plastic resist from there. Hope that helps, as it confused me at first, too.

Now that’s what I’d like to be able to make. It would be nice to have a real time option to with some commentary so I could be clear on several points but a beautiful piece in stunning colours.

I do have one question though, make that 2 : How random are the cuts you make to reveal the cutout resist? How do you know where to make that initial cut? This is where I always go wrong, not knowing where to start the cut
It's a great video. Have you had the experience of making a beret? I'd like to know, please, what are the blue and red balloon-like moulds that you use in the video. Do you think they would work for moulding a beret? Or could you suggest something else that would be appropriate to use as a mould, please.

Lovely piece! When you cut through to the thin plastic resist, do you follow a particular pattern, or just cut a pattern that appeals to you and then pull out the resist afterwards? I guess what I'm asking is if the plastic resist pattern and the pattern cut into the bowl are related to each other.
I plan a rough pattern, draw it out on the plastic, cut it out, then follow the plastic to cut away the felt

Since I am new to watch these handmade felting things if you could tell what was that white bubbly mixture you washed with it again and again, a soup, detergent? or some glue?
A mixture of water and Palmolive free and clear soap. Sometimes when it was rewarmed the soap would reactivate.

Always so delightful to watch the process of the making of this beautiful vessel! I was wondering if I could use all 19.5 microns to make a similar vessel or if I would need to incorporate 23 microns? I have made a few things with a resist, but have not tried a vessel yet.
I would save the more expensive 19 micron stuff for against the skin

This was made from 21 micron and some fabric
Thank you for this video! What is the hand-held tool you are using in the felting process? As to the fabric used underneath the plastic resist, is that necessary to the process? Does it have to be any particular type of fiber (wool, not wool)?
The fabric is not necessary, but in this case it provides a pattern that is reveled when you but the layers. It's a nuno felt technique
The toil is the palm washboard. It's the only tool I use that is a thusly designed for felting

@serendipidus1 just about any fabric with a weave lose enough. A test is if you cup your hands, set the fabric on your fingers and blow through it, can you feel your breath? if yes that it might felt, if not it most likely will fail to allow the wool to migrate through.
If you have shredded edges those fibers may have a chance of felting when the rest wont.

Ruth Murphy with a bit of roughing up, you can feel the parts that are not attached. Start cutting and follow the plastic

Spry Whimsy Fiber Arts another question.... where did you get the "balloon" type thing that you put inside to shape it at the end? I really NEED one of those. Also, can various sizes be had as I make quite a few small vessels.... sorry for all the questions! (one more... do you keep your hands soapy when in direct contact with the vessel at the end? I was always told that was the thing to do but I'd imagine when rinsed....you wouldn't want to so.... talk to me about this ☘😊
The ball is an inflatable play ball. They come in sizes from 10" 12" and 15"
All the shaping is done after a complete rinse. No soap left in the project

I love this video. I've watched it a few times and I appreciate you sharing your techniques. I have two supply related questions - 1, are you using vinyl bubble fabric instead of plastic bubble wrap? It looks very durable! And second, what are the reusable balloons you're using to form your vessel after the initial stages of felting? Where can I get these supplies, they're the more professional non-felting related supplies I've seen so far!

M Jefferson you feel a spot where they layers are not stuck together, that's where the restist is. Once you find a starting spot you follow the resist.

Красивая ваза! очень интересный объект декора получился! И не обязательно в него что то класть. Яркие оттенки проявляются на срезах, их много и не надо. Не пойму, чего всем здесь не понравилось. Такую вазочку можно сделать в форме тыквы к хеллоуину
Ради чего столько мук я так и не поняла . С тем же успехом можно и по кочкам болота попрыгать, результат получится похожим.
