Dinky toys 27d/340 land rover variations

This video shows the different castings and colours I have in my collection .....looking at the ones in my collection it seems that red plastic wheels were used on the last of the first casting ( up until then they were cast in metal..ie standard dinky hub ) but without the extra casting piece to keep the tow hook square and open front bumper.....the second casting has the shallow seat box are and no hole for the driver at this stage they had plastic drivers...also at the rear by the tow hook each side is a heavier strengthening in the casting and the front bumper is filled in at each side......the last casting has not got the extra piece of casting under the tow hook and the end of the PTO is flat ( no hole ) the hubs are plastic and can be found in green,red & yellow ...there are a few differences on the rear tailgate area as well early ones seem to be heavier in the detail ( lights ,brackets ,hinges etc ) so if your just collecting this series of dinky land rovers keep an eye out for variations ....hope you like ...
