Ain't nothing starving has that kind of fight in it. His butt was feeding just not enough for him. The more Casi fed him the more demanding he became.
Imagine jumping back with an attitude like he is owed something..He was definitely more trouble than he was worth!!!
She should never have taken him! She is jumping up and down on that branch through frustration I think. Its all very sad
As many times as Calvin was disciplined for touching and grabbing Cassi's face all he continues to do when being corrected is go right for her face!! He was always pushing the boundaries with Cassi.. And that is why he got kicked to the curb just not soon enough!! 🤣😂
Lol.. those who still deny that Calvin did often nurse. And don't realize how editing on videos work, or that those who post the videos will and do edit and move around events to make it look as though there was something worse or more action happening, when truth is. CALVIN WAS NURSING ALL ON HIS OWN for 30 or so mins BEFORE the time they edited it to start on here.. watch from the very beginning if this video in slow motion. Zoom in on casis are/chest/stomach area a little and while watching in the .25 slow motion pause it at about 17 to 18 seconds in and then zoom into where her nipples are. You will see Calvin cuddled up sleeping and nursing all on his own while Celine is fighting off Cesca from snagging her butt. There is another video that shows more time of this exact event and shows him again cuddling and nursing and sleeping while Celine is on casis back and head and looking around and playing around for about 20mins. When Celine came back it was still 10mins before she tried to go into nurse, but cesca started trying to lift her tail and sniff her butt and groom her but Celine yelled and wanted to nurse so casi got up to move so Celine could now nurse for her turn. So when you see casi get up to move and then need to peel Calvin off of her chest and nipple, it was not because she was starving him. It was because he just had over 30mins of nursing time all to himself while Celine was off playing and learning how to be a normal monkey. So then when 30mins later, Casi's actual offspring who she has a maternal bond and responsibility to care for, and most importantly the baby to whom she has an AUTOMATIC PRIMAL NATURAL INSTINCT to nurse and care for and protect, she made Calvin get off of her so that baby who is actually supposed to by nature be getting that milk could nurse and have her turn. She never starved the greedy tree rat, he just wanted it all for himself and had a temper tantrum every time his turn was over. Yes Celine got more nursing time. IT IS HER MOTHER HER MILK! NOT HIS! he had enough to survive. Once he got to big and strong enough that he was hurting and pushing Celine off THAT was when casi left him with chiko and REFUSED to take him back. He did not die. Do some digging and looking and you will see that he DID NOT DIEeothee, he was rescued and nursed to health and got a few months older and was then released into the little troop of orphaned or abandoned baby monkeys .
I don't understand Cassi's need to continue to care for another animal that clearly if given the chance would have caused harm or even Death to her own daughter.. He caused nothing but problems , tension and stress.. Refused to learn or was not able to learn.. Yet was demanding and quick to throw a tantrum to get his way.. Cassi tried to do for Calvin what no one else was willing to do including his own biological mother.. Put up with his tantrums extreme neediness and his laziness..
That's not fair to Cassie she has to fight him off just to feed her own offspring, that must be tiring
Look at all that energy he has when she walks off and leaves him!
I'm amazed by the amount of times, over the span of a month, that innocent little Celine almost fell out of a tree and either died or was seriously injured because Cassie was fighting off aggressive, demanding, and defiant Calvin. I'm sitting here watching Casi pull Celine into her survival zone while trying to push Calvin out of it, as he aggressively fights with her. I sincerely believe that Calvin truly thought adult monkeys had to care for the babies; regardless of how badly they misbehaved. This is evident by the way he looked to another mother to be fed, whenever Casi denied him and how he went to every other adult monkey and asked them to feed him once he was abandoned completely. I don't think it ever crossed his mind that ALL of the adult monkeys would refuse to care for him once Casi abandoned him. I also don't think Casi abandoning him for good ever crossed his mind because she always came back for him after leaving him to cry for his real mom. I really think he truly believed he could behave however he wanted and he would never face any real consequences. But much like Daniella, he learned there are definitely consequences for insubordinate infants in macaque society. Calvin should've taken every disciplinary beating and every short term abandonment as a warning but he didn't, and continued his aggressive defiant behavior. Like we've ALL said so many times before, "Calvin was his own worst enemy".
