Hi Andrew, Curious, you mentioned another video related to this that you did previously... Where can I access that as I need to take 1 step before this before watching this.. My goal is to although not role up all the updates but to show the receiver of the form all the info we already have and for them to be able to review and correct/update anything missing.
Good video actually, actually doing this already but one thing caught my attention is how the fields are hiding in the form. How you do this? Would you be able to tell us how you achieve that show and hide of those fields in the form? If you are able to share, would you perhaps share a blank template copy of the base? In the video.. at 9:15 - 9.25 ... How do you manage to click on the check boxes and hide and show the fields that need to be updated .. and then at 10:15 ... I see the Update field contains the linked fields, so that didn't make it easier to understand how you achieve the hide and show of those fields but I sense these two are related? I have no clue how you do the show and hide (= collapse) the the fields in the form. UPDATE: Never-mind, I found it. I noticed it says Conditional field, so I looked at he form again at the field configuration and there it was. Very useful, I didn't notice it there before I guess I didn't pay attention thinking it's just another condition field but the real benefit is to shorten forms to dynamically hide fields that are not needed and show then depending on the context. Thank you.
Hi Andrew, thank you very much for your video. I have one last question: We are building a marketplace with Softr in combination with Airtable. Our customers fill out a form and a new record is created in Airtable. Afterwards they should have the possibilty to change their data within another form. How can this be implemented with airtable? Thank you in advance for your reply, Sandra
This can be done with automations and pre filling. Tough to explain in detail over comment. If you want to send me an email at airbuildconsulting@gmail.com we can chat in more detail
@@simple-stack Thank you, Andrew, for your reply. I found a solution. It was easier as it seemed to be. I am looking forward to more videos of you. Thank you for your work.
Hi Julia-are you looking to send it out to emails that are in a spreadsheet or crm? There are ways to automate the sending so you don’t have to manually add it
Thank you! The populated fields come from passing the values in via the form share link url. My other video on forms explains in detail if you wanna take a look
Thanks, Andrew - this is fantastic. This use-case is universally applicable. For anyone interested, you can use conditional automation action steps to allow a single automation to watch, and update as necessary, each of the fields in the form. On another note, I have a question for you, Andrew. Our company has a table that uses a linked record field to a junction table. If we were to use. this, how would that field work in this application? Do you know of any way to create new or modify existing linked records from a pre-filled airtable form?
Hi, Is there a way to create a form in which it will be possible to choose a option based on category I choosen? First field "Car company" I choose for ex. Audi So in the next field I can choose types like: A1, A2, A3, A4, R8....... But if I would choose diffrent complany in first field for example Ford in next field I will have option to choose related with Ford like Mondeo, Focus .... Is it possible to create such a form? Im willing to upgrade my account to pro version even. THX!

Hey 👋🏼 great videos and content - you do a great job at teaching in your videos!
Thank you!
Is it possible to add button to form on interface?
What would you want to add the button to do?

How do you get the recordid to link to the directory on the updates sheet?
Via the automation around minute 8
Hi! How do you use the external link? Is the only option to manually copy and paste it into individual emails? Thanks!

Great stuff and good teaching skills. But I don't understand how the fields in "Update" are populated.

Yes you can do this with a combination of what I have outlined and the conditional field setup option avail on all forms
@@simple-stack Massive thanks for your reply, now I need to take a closer look at your video. THX!
