I really like your teaching style and you are such a great player, much stronger than me of course and I learned a lot of things from your videos.
Despite that I think I have a interesting suggestion/plan which you may underestimated a bit and I learned it from analyzing Rook endgames such as the one you got against the cheater.
I know you had no time, played against an engine shich is psychological hard and for sure know how to make draw in this endgame but I would like to suggest a plan which made thie endgame so easier for me.
For example in‪19:50 instead of playing Kf1 the plan is to try and create quick counter play with f3 g4 and Kh3 if the rook is on the second rank (R+ 3 vs R + 2 is an easy draw) to try and create past pwan on the h file to distract the black king or a weaknes on h5 which would make black's plan to bring the king much less threatening because at the right time white can get to the h5 pawn and create a passer.
I am not a GM so you probably knows better and I would like to know if you agree with this take or see a concrete problem with it. Thanks for the read!

      The thing is,
1)if you don't know 20 lines of opening, you can easily get lost in less than 20 moves
      2) it leads to very close positions that are really hard to play for beginners/intermediate
Then I guess that's why they resort to cheating

      Rxb4 Rxb4 cxb4 Ke7 Kf3 Kd6 Ke4 Kc6 Kd4 Kb5 Kc3 Ka4 b5+ Kc5 f5 (the only move other moves are losing or draws, notice the white king can make a mad dash for the kingside at the right time) h3 g5 f4 gxf4 gxf4 h6 h4 h5 Kd5 Kxb4 Ke5 Kc4 Kxf5 b4 Ke6 (after Kg6 black promotes with check) Ke6 b3 f5 b2 f6 b1=Q f7 Qb4 Kf6 Qf8 not allowing white a situation where he can stalemate himself with Kh8, however with the pawns on h4 and h5 there are stalemate tricks, but it allows another possibility for black instead of Qb4: Qf1 Ke7 Kd5 f8=Q Qxf8+ Kxf8 Ke6 (preventing Ke7) Kg7 Kf5 Kh6 Kg4 Kg6 Kxh4 Kf5 Kg3 Kg5 h4 black wins by 1 move.

Yeah, that cheater game was unfortunate. At this level, it's also important to consider the economy of movement. That h5 move not only made little sense from a chess perspective, but it also means he had to move the cursor all the way over to the other side of the board and back. Even if you saw h5 (not that one would consider it), a human would go for the equally reasonable move that would be the focus of your attention and not require risking a mouse slip or wasting time. It's just a natural instinct.

@@rfafoerfoierjoaNo, I mean that cheating in chess is worse. First of all it's not just a game for some people, it's half a career for me and there is also money on the line. The main difference is when you cheat you directly doing damage to someone else. When you wrote an essay with LLM sure it's not the most ethical action but you are not in a direct competition with anyone. Life chasing implications? It won't be true for the big majority of essays and considering it's usually not even making the quality better and just saving time from working on sometimes useless and not so relevant essays I think it's ridiculous to act like it's a bigger "Crime" than using an engine which can lead to lost of trust of the opponent and making them feel like they are bad at something that is really important to them

    • @michalrehacek3462

Why wouldn’t cheating help you improve?
What else do you think you are doing on TH-cam? You are watching someone better at chess than you play a game which can open your eyes to new chess concepts.
It’s not a moral way to improve, but my guess would be, cheating is probably a pretty fast way to learn.

@@michalrehacek3462 As a chess instructor myself I am really skeptical about the suggestion that cheating would be a fast way to improve. When you see a strong chess player plays you are not improving from just looking on the moves, the most important thong is the explanations and logic behind that which stockfish don't provide.
Chess engines this days are so strong the plans and moves they suggest are most of the time ridiculous to the naked eye of a chess beginner and contains so much concrete details without unpacking it would seems like a complete mess. Even analyzing with an engine would be beneficial only if you know how to ask the right questions at the right moment because it's easy to just mindlessly relying on the engine without thinking and understanding the logic beyond and I can be horrendous to your chess
