Experimental branch works on this a little bit regarding parries, where high velocity swings really bounce off when parried, and chops with a greatsword that draw blood are very meaty and sometimes even get stuck in the opponent. While the experimental branch is a monumental improvement to the combat physics overall, there's still a lot to be done, like no transfer of momentum to the opponents weapon or body really. The energy just kind of dissipates very quickly (with some exceptions). If you haven't tried the experimental test branch I would highly recommend it. It's actually game changing compared to previous versions of combat.
@@BradenSG thanks for the feedback/input - their continual tuning is impressive (that they're dedicated to it feeling good and fun and as dynamic as they can make it, not at all looking for 'acceptable' but 'exceptional' and continue to push that way) I'm excited for it to go live I use the GOG offline installers (no galaxy, no steam), so have to wait to try it (which is fine, I mainly only game in the winter) will probably give it a try when it does, though I'm mostly waiting until 1.1 to spend a lot of time with it in the meantime I will fall asleep to watching others play

We should play some barotrauma
game needs a bit more bounceback physics, hits land a little too 'in'
