Thank you, young dude, it's about time I see someone on TH-cam actually drilling dowel pins and doing a glue up correctly.

Awesome design. What a big difference a little cut off/trim with the router makes. Now you hv created a total different design and look to the table

My respect to the young man for continuing this craft. Not all young people want to get their hands dirty these days. If something nice comes out of it then the work was worth it.

Bro I’ve watched weeks and weeks and weeks worth of TH-cam woodworking videos, teaching myself how to woodwork. I have a respectable shop, with some decent equipment, tho not as nice as yours. However, your use of geometric angles are fantastic!! Walk by that table and one leg looks tiny, yet the other legs are square…quite the optical illusion. I’m highly impressed

Beautiful finished piece. Curious did I miss how you are dealing with potential wood movement in your top, It's connected very solidly to the heavy side rails.

I have been watching several different videos on these floating tables. Hammersound, Kobeomsuk, Ishitani. These floating tables depend on their simple clean lines to achieve their beauty. The Asians spend a lot of time on their joinery when building these tables. Sometimes it seems like overkill and in some ways detracts from the beauty and simplicity. For some reason though I think this piece achieves that beautiful simplicity. Instead of focusing on joinery you put the time and effort into those eye catching legs. They complete the piece. It works and is perfect. You taught me a lot about design on this piece and at the same time produced a very buildable piece of furniture.

A wonderful piece of design using some nice timber. As others have said I would like to have seen some 'proper' joinery and the table top should have fixings that allow for movement of the solid wood top.

Interesting design. Very well crafted. Just a suggestion.. maybe substitute domino joints for traditional Japanese (Asian) table leg joints. Minimise ironmongery particularly carbon steel. Non ferrous metals are not or less affected by oak tannins.
