Quite a long ago, we teased this project that you were all being waiting for.. Actually, we even began to think about this project before making Mac'n'Cheese!
So, after 5 months of intense work, I can't wait to see what you guys think about this! And for you fellow Launchpadders, I hope you'll have fun playing it!

Your hands shake a lot. Make sure you dont skip meals and nice cover!
hands shake commonly during a tough launchpad performance. The pattern can be strenuous to repeat over and over in all the takes, and if you get nervous of screwing up near the end of the song, your hands can shake.

Thanks for worrying but my hand shake is due to a low heartbeat rate combined to a low tension, my blood is not coming as much in my hands as in the rest of my body that's why it shakes! and as Cooper said, combined to hard patterns it shakes even more!

I've been a deeply devoted piano player for almost 39 years. Bought a Novation Launchpad and Ableton Live because I love EDM and decided I wanted to try to make some great electronic music as well. Well, my Launchpad ended up collecting dust for about a year, lol, because it was so frustrating to try and figure out, but here in the last few weeks I've dusted it off and began watching TH-cam videos to try to figure out how to use DAWs (Ableton in particular) and my Launchpad, and THEN I SAW THIS.
I'm going back to my piano, lol. Maybe I'll try again in another year, lol.
That being said, lol, and all kidding aside, you are absolutely BRILLIANT with this thing, and I am in utter AWE of your talent, sir. Maybe in another 40 years I'll have this thing figured out, lol!

Shawn most likely put some editing in the audio to make it sound more fluid. Its hard to make a fluid song only using a lauchpad. (no hate towards Shawn)

I like this. It shows how much work and talent it takes to master launchpad. There is a lot of hesitation and technique that differs from the original but that is what makes a cover special. An artist has to make it their own. The original was more seemless, but I think I like this version better because of it.

I think what's cool about Wasabi's songs on his launchpad, is that he doesn't do his stuff in a pattern, like a line just going from left to right to make the sounds, he makes them in a completely random pattern. He kinda does that in this video, a lot of the noises he does are in a simple pattern so he can remember, I get that it's easier to do that instead of remember but that's what I find so cool about Wasabi's videos

Hearing the mistakes is really cool though because I can never imagine that marble soda is actually being played on that thing, so hearing the mistakes makes it more real and live
i love these kinds of plays way more than the others, you can hear that he is really playing and not faking it

Does piano take talent? if u think piano takes talent than this takes even more talent. he is not just smashing random buttons, he has to memorize 64 buttons of sounds, and even worse, every song he plays is different, so he has to memorize the NEW sounds. it's really hard, waaaayyyy harder than u think. so fuck off.

Well you don't need to have pretty hands, the most important is to know how to use it. Then if you play a lot of piano or instruments, they tend to be skinny over time. Thx btw!
Sarf I know right! I play the piano and having small hands makes me so mad. I'm 5'0 and have smaller hands than most people I know ... I just want longer fingers life would be so easy 😭

Each pad is set to a certain sound sample. And there are buttons you hit that change certain sounds on the pads.
dacasman what about the patterns?
Faramik2000 U see, people usually make a live set (like a preset of the song) like this one, and we would download this. all the button are already set up basically. Sometimes make a few changes and your good, those buttons on the far right change the pages, like a book, and they'll change all the sounds
Every button contains a little sample of the whole song. I cut these samples and placed them as I wanted then you need to push every button in the right order and in the right rythm so each of these samples follow fluently and create the whole song!
Shawn is speeding up his some launchpad covers thats why it looks so cool.
You ready for me to criticize him on his missed timings because i'm that mean?
1.) 0:09 Missed kick beat by +0.3 ms,
2.) 0:13 Missed Synth hit by +0.2(5) ms.
3.) 0:15-0:16 Missed kick beat by -0.3 ms.
4.) 0:20 Missed Kick beat by +0.3 ms.
5.) 0:24 Missed the "Ooo" track by +0.2 ms.

Why is this so mesmerizing to watch?
For those people, who have Launchpad PRO and dont have USER 2 button - dont worry, i solved the problem. Put this file in Marble Soda - TheWarmUp MK2 folder, and open. Now instead of swithes in USER2 mode, you can switch scenes with "Record Arm" and "Track Select" buttons on the bottom of your Launchpad.

like 94% the same, I felt like the original was a little bit faster, and others stuff wasn't like the real one but, finding all the 139samples and re-making the mix is just unbelievable, amazing!
Thank you! Actually mine is a bit faster (170 bpm) and the original is 168 bpm. I couldn't find all the 153 samples cos some were from unreleased songs and a lot of them where impossible to find cos too much modified or too short so I remade some of them, I used the samples that I've found and also sampled the whole Marble Soda song in slice to midi at some points
well, it's sound pretty similar that i didn't realize the missing samples lol, good job!

one thing when I thought about launchpad was that they didn't know what to do so they acted cool but added lights then added the song without actually doing anything but I didn't know how the sound was clear instead of it being a bit quieter or something
