If you had added a few flakes of glitter to the black resin, the stray glitter would look more intentional.
Making the design and border with black and then using a light or clear background would give a wrought iron effect. If you have, or can find letter molds, then making a name plaque would be easy.
Thank you for not scraping the project or not publishing because the glitter didn't stay in place! I love seeing when things don't go as planned. It helps me be willing to share my work! Love the idea behind this!
Thank you so much!
There are no mistakes, only happy accidents. ONLY happy accidents! It looks beautiful.
That's so beautiful, Michelle! How about making a box with a lid? How classy that would make ? Imagine using blues & silvers & even your chameleon glitters. Stunning! Great idea , Michelle for sure!!
Great idea!!
It's beautiful. Wrap a tumbler with one.
Oh my goodness. I just bought some of those molds on clearance at Hobby Lobby. I have one I want to make into a cuff bracelet! Love this!
Oh oh oh! You could totally use that bottom part and bend it into a tiara. Add some glitz and glitter and poof! You’re a princess! 😂
Stunning!!!❤❤❤❤ Steampunk it with crushed velvet instead of flat black.
Good idea!
Pretty! You could attach that inlay to a headband for a crown...
Great idea!!
It would look amazing in royal blue and silver. Would be great also to use on tumblers
I love it and some glitter movement makes it even better , more organic...Fabulous
That's a neat little trick with the glue. Thank you, I didn't know you could do that.
I’m so glad that little trick was helpful!
This came out beautifully, even with the glitter movement. I love the fact that you share the experiments you do which helps us all learn form your experiences and talents. Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it.
Absolutely gorgeous! Oh, the imagination runs wild and the wheels are turning. What a fantastic idea. Love it, Michelle. 😊❤
Thanks so much! 😊
An invasion of glitter is never a bad thing, i think the extra glitter looks beautiful, it turned out so pretty ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️❤❤❤
I have done this! I heat them to bend them into shape once cured! I use them in other moulds, like i have an obsession with bees so i have a honey comb shaped mould for cakes and i make it, break it up and add it to bowls, pots, coasters and even the skull moulds. 😊
Sounds cool!!!
I find it easier to lay the mold face down and then peel the mold off in one direction. The delicate resin will stay on your counter and you won't risk having breakage from pulling on the resin during the un-molding.
It's gorgeous place in on a tumbler while it's still soft enough to stay in place ❤
Your de-mold method is a game changer. No more pulling thin resin
Don't know how many times I walked around in Michael's brainstorming how to use those molds with Resin. Thank you for this video.
Smaller scrolls would be nice for coffee mugs a small set of dinner dishes ❤
I like the way the Glitter has spread out behind it it kind of looks like the night sky I love it as it is
😊 thank you
Never have I EVER thought I would here the words "Stupid glitter" come out of your mouth. That really made me laugh!! The tray is beautiful. the floating glitter adds to the tray. Thank you Michelle🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
LOL right!! LOL
I just love your videos and your voice is so soothing!
I thought you might make these into inlays! The tray came out beautiful!
I just happened to come across your video... I've never seen your channel before but now I have followed you!! You are amazing, your explanations and your little hack tricks that you're willing to give out, and the beauty that you create out of things you would not normally put together just blew me away!! My sister and I are pretty new to the whole resin world... We're also hooked on Thank you for a wonderful tutorial that explained each step on the process and I absolutely love this inlay idea! My head is just spinning with ideas! Thank you so much... I'm going to be driving myself crazy waiting to see your next video! Nothing but love and sunshine coming your way!
Aww thank you so much ☺️! Welcome to the channel! Everyone here is super nice! I also have a private FB group linked in my description for inspiration from the viewers. I have a video uploaded every day at 9 pm 😊
Running to my cake decoration supplies now to see what I can scrounge 😂 love it ❤
I also like the glitter in bits around the inlay. Turned out beautifully
That turned out so pretty! The floating glitter just adds a bit more sparkle 😁. I love it!
Thank you!
It would look stunning on a trinket box in royal blue and silver or even in black and gold like that gorgeous tray. Fabulous.
The inlays look great, the large one would look fabulous as a tiara and jewellery 😊😊
I think so too!
I used these with clay and put on furniture when I refinished furniture. I did it with resin too and inlaid parts in coasters
I think those would look awesome wrapped around some resin bottles or plant pots. Not inlaid, but it would be beautiful.
table top!!!!! with marble, I would buy it!
It is so pretty! When you pour a large piece but have to trim parts off to fit the mold you are using it in, save the swirls and squiggles you cut off. They would be pretty added in pendants and earrings.
Wow! It's absolutely stunning and so creative! I think burgundy and gold would also be beautiful. Thanks for sharing! ❤
Thank you! 😊
When it is still softish you could lay it over something round and it could be like a tiara forba little girls birthday or just for a childs dress up trunk
Absolutely can!!
That glitter, you used is just stunning!. Beautiful project ❤
Gold always looks good on black. And that glitter is spectacular!
Oh my goodness it is so beautiful. I love the idea and the colors are so beautiful. How about silver and blue?
Ooooo yeah that would be gorgeous 😃
🎉 A tiara or crown for a little princess...
🎉 Add flowers or other decorative materials and a veil for a crown for a bride...
🎉 Glue it to a drawer or cabinet front...
🎉 Embedded in or attached to a lidded box...
🎉 Build a plasticine dam around the shape still in the mold and pour the back for a key or coat hook...
🎉Decorate a child's chair to make a throne to go with the tiara...
🎉 Cast a bunch and use them as decorative wall appliques...
🎉 Decorative vase or planter...
🎉 Embellish a mailbox or name plate for your house...
😢 A memorial for a pet...
There are surely a lot more; these just popped out as fast as I could type.🎉
Wow!! I wish I had your creativity!!! Thank you!
I absolutely love the swirl technique with the shell mold. The enlay tray came out amazing.
Thanks so much 😊
OMG! I have had the same idea to use those molds. I too have many cake decorating molds, I used to do custom cakes. And I remember having these molds but never used and have been meaning to try it with my resin. Seeing this makes now want run to my supplies try too. I'm so glad I saw this today. You've just inspired me. I loved your outcome
Awesome ! Let your imagination run wild!
Love, love, love it. Very vintage looking 😊❤😊 great job.
Thanks so much! 😊
I would make a beautiful tiara and choker and earrings out of the inlaid sections🥰
Gorgeous! Gold and black, always an elegant color combination. Well done 👍
Oh. . I love the "stupid" glitter !!❤
😁😁
You can make a crown with the big piece for like a girls bday party or a wedding veil
And it is so lovely tray with glitter all around. next time could you also show what to do with the glitter not spreading out as you mentioned you know what to do with it ?
I should have filled the rim only and let it cure, then fill 1/2 with clear and the inlay and cure again then back with the black and there wouldn’t be that issue.
@glitznglitterbymichelle1 okay. Thanks for reply
C'est tres Belle! Merci beaucoup!💛🤎🤍
That is the most beautiful tray, what a wonderful use of cake molds
Thanks so much 😊
I like it! I've been using inlays and onlays for about a year and love the extra dimension it gives the pieces. That glue trick will be tried tomorrow! So thanks, this was a real pleasure to watch! When you make an onlay, a larger thicker fondant, plaster or wood onlay mould, I take them out when they're no longer tacky but are still pliable. I used these filigree corner pieces and bent them carefully around the base of a made, resin box. The points of the filigree triangles/corners, make excellent feet for any box. I used UV resin to secure them to the box and they have stuck on there really well. There are so many moulds to try!
Great tip! Thanks so much 😃
Since you’re doing Valentine stuff, do it in red and gold with shimmer and glitter, of course. ❤ You can use the inlays in a heart mold too!
Great idea!!
That is the most beautiful and elegant tray. I haven't seen this technique before and I think it's gorgeous. Thank you for sharing x ❤
Thanks so much 😊
They would look stunning in a clear layer clock .
I just love how you try new things 😊
Thank you! 😊
It is so beautiful and elegant!! ❤❤
Thank you! 😊
Ever so elegant! You worked hard for this one and it paid off. What a beautiful gift it would make! Thanks for sharing this tutorial! ❤😮❤
Thank you so much!☺️
This opens a world of possibilities, thanks for the share ❤
What a great idea that is beautiful. I would like some of those trays for hostess gifts. Hummmmm
Ok 😁😁 and your tumbler is almost ready 😊
I like the wandering glitter effect!
It's Beautiful. Blue Or aqua would be pretty too.
I'm thinking something like a faux stained glass window piece. Something to hang in the window or on a patio door to catch the Sun in some pretty colors or holiday colors. Great idea! I'm excited to see how it comes out
Hi Michelle beautiful tray 😍 thanks for sharing ❤ xx
Thanks so much 😊
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
Thank you so much!☺️
That came out beautiful! I'm wondering if you could set the small inlays around in a pot or jar? Thanks for another awesome video!❤😊
Oh Michelle it’s divine!!! Oh boy those cake molds are the best…never thought about them either! Great video and techniques…thank you so much!!💯👍🏿❤️
You can also use those molds for hot glue and then paint them to attach to projects. Love the Idea so beautiful.
It's beautiful! Michelle love your videos!
Thank you so much!☺️
Wow, wow and wow. So beautiful, even with the floating glitter. Great experiment and color combination. Just my 1 cent
Maybe you can find an inlay that you can bend on the inside of a jar, mold, and you could depend on the color of the inlay, black and white top or sapphire I don’t know
It’ll bend if you take it out sooner!
BEAUTIFUL! 😍💕😊 The floating glitter is lovely, especially when it encroached into the background. 😊👍❤ Just gorgeous! 😘
Love this ❤ so beautiful great job great idea love love love it❤❤❤!!!
Thank you so much!!☺️
Wowsers! That looks good enough to eat! Stunning xx
Michelle, I live this tray! It is one of a kind. Also, because the glitter floated a bit, it looks handmade. Definitely not a mass-produced tray. It's really beautiful ❤❤❤
The shells remind me of what archeologists dig up from 8000 year old graves of the wealthy and powerful people of that time. Shells made of gold. 😂
First time watching you ….I’m blown away ! You’ve got a new subscriber ❤
Welcome!! Thank you! ☺️
Oh Michelle. What a GREAT idea! It's beautiful! I love it. Thank you.❤❤❤
Thank you so much!☺️
Simply beautiful 🎉
That is absolutely gorgeous the black with the gold is beautiful together
So happy for you with these idea that’s is great is beautiful..😁❤
Thank you! 😊
It is beautiful. Would it not be easier to make a silicone inlay with the finish resin lace, that way it could be used over and over
It’s definitely possible 🤔🤔
the glitter looks great like it is it creates movement and magic
Even with the glitter that floated it it so beautiful 🎉🎉🎉!!! There are probably so many different colors combinations that you could spend a year trying them all lol❤❤❤❤but love it. Try silver inlay with pink or purple
This is GORGEOUS ❤🎉❤
Turned out gorgeous
Absolutely gorgeous!
You created a 90% masterpiece! The tray is beautiful! 💕
Thanks so much! 😊
How elegant! Love it!
Thank you! 😊
That's gorgeous, I think something like that would look beautiful on a clock
❤❤so beautiful I love it i hope i can find some cake inlays like yours there absolutely beautiful !
I linked a couple
Beautiful! You can top a jewelry box with them.
It’s very elegant! You could try a jewelry box.
It's beautiful I love it do it with pink or purple with the black background
Omg I love it even with the glitter that came up. It is so beautiful. I would love to see silver and black
oh wow GORGEOUS i gotta get those cake decor moulds
The moulds are beautiful and could even be added furniture
I love how this turned out and like you said, there do much you could do with these! Cutting boards, charcuterie trays, even adding steam punk to canvases, etc…. Thank you so much got sharing such a fun idea!!❤
GREAT idea!!
I actually like the edges where the glitter only slightly *marries* the sides to the bottom. I'm more distracted by the different shades of gold, between the glitter and molded pieces.
Very creative and cool 😎 well done! 💕
There are many who use these molds, and even silicone place mats with designs on them, for resin...they even make inlays from them. Yours came out very nice. I even remember mentioning it to you on the video where you used paper lace patterns... to use these molds.
You probably did, it’s sooo hard to remember everything from the comments 🥴. I think I need a notebook for all the amazing comments and suggestions!
I just found you and have a bunch of these molds. I ordered them for clay, but that didn't work, this is going to be fun. I make furniture pieces so happy I found you! Awesome idea!❤
@@Di3-z have fun creating!!
