The first car I brought was an N12 Exa. It was a 1985 model (I think). It was so 80s with the massive "TURBO" decals and trim. I had it lowered, massive 15 inch rims (they looked huge), full exhaust from turbo back, blow off valve, bleed valve and other go fast bits... I sold the car with just over 300,000kms on the clock, the guy that I sold it to smashed it at 370,000kms. That car endured a lot! I don't think it ever had an owner over 21yo, it spent a good part of its life running extra boost (no intercooler) and the engine was never opened (as far as I know) and apart from a little smoke, it never skipped a beat.I would love to find one to do up as a bit of a project... Retro cool!

I really doubt that... The E15s were not reliable in stock trim...

Howard Marsden showing his sense of humour at the end there lol. He was one of motor racing's true gentlemen, though according to Fred Gibson he did have a temper when he was mad enough, such as when he found out the Nissan Group C touring car team had been doing testing with a non-homologated 2.0 litre Bluebird turbo in mid-1984 while he had been on business in Japan instead of the 1.8 litre turbo the car had to run. According to Gibbo, Howard went ballistic and threatened to fire the whole team on the spot.

haha this is awesome to watch. First car I ever bought was a Nissan Exa Turbo in the identical colour to Brock's red one. It was a very love hate relationship. The car had a tendency to snap to oversteer with little warning. But miss it.

Handled like a lead-tipped arrow (as evidenced in the video), but my word they could take off, go fast, and stop!

Brocky with the Win as Usual, even in a Nissan Exa Turbo. Do Red ones go faster or was it's Brocky driving skills.

So 1980s in their look. Like they were designed only using a ruler 📏.
I love the Exa commercial after the race. Try get away with that in today's PC world.
