The disc pads are some ceramic mixture type materials which on coming in contact with the disc plate doesn't make any beveled scratches. Here the top surface of disc is being scratched badly, which ultimately result in rust

And btw there are no ceramic contents in a disc pad unless its a ceramic brake pad. Normal disc pads are made up of cintered material with soft metal shavings.
