Work on your legato playing. Connect the notes more smoothly. For the low notes keep your embouchure firm and use slower, warmer air, and blow that air steadily. Look up the Markey low range exercises on TH-cam. You have potential, keep at it!
@@jg2977 I appreciate the tips. I haven’t played in several weeks so I’m rusty but I think I remember having bad control when I play low. When I recorded my audition back in like February, I had already not been playing super often so I was already kind of unconditioned and now I’m even more unconditioned. What do you think I should do if I want to recondition and get back into shape, while having good tone?
@@castandblast1852 I haven’t played trombone (or any brass for that matter) in months. I’ve been picking up some bass guitar lately but I’m afraid of going back to brass. Afraid of sounding out of shape yk
