Great video Jenny, the E class that I pre-ordered arrived a couple of days ago and going over it I must say that it is an excellent model. I ordered the London Transport L44 model with DCC sound, it is a great runner.
Excellent video as usual, I received mine from Rails of sheffield, and my version is gorgeous with perfect livery, and she runs smooth as silk. I would also like to give rails a heads up as the packing for postage was exceptional.
"Accountancy rebuild" - a new construction locomotive would be "capital expenditure" in accountancy terms and could not be deducted in computing profits for tax. The costs of a "repair" or a "rebuild" after, say, an accident could be written off against tax so long as the resulting locomotive was not an "improvement" on the original.
It's 00 gauge. You are full of praise for the fidelity of the model and go into minute detail yet you fail to mention that the wheels are too close together! Hahahaha, By the way, so are the splashers/sandboxes.

My model has a wonky funnel. The replacement apparently is not wonky (we shall see: arriving at the weekend).
Believe it or not, she’s preserved and often runs on the the Epping Ongar Railway, but normally runs on the Quainton Road Railway Centre.

I got the L44, it's fantastic, gotta be the most realistic n fine 0-4-4 ever produced I rekon, really is superb

This particular model looks a bit like my Southern M7. But the model is a good one of Metropolitan Number One!!
I watched Sam’s Trains last night reviewing this model. His had lots of problems with the body work. Glad yours is ok. Great review.
I approve of ample space for stay-alives.

Just as prefitted speakers are a great improvement and should be “normal” could we not have prefitted stay alives or do those change for DCC and DC?
