We hear so much about the A220's efficiency and operating economics. But Delta and JetBlue A220 pilots keep mentioning something about the crazy engine power this thing has, how its big wings can easily get it can get off the ground and climb faster compared to the A320 and 737MAX. So this is what it looks like, and even after riding the 757, this looks insane. Your A220 was a shortfield self-catapulting rocket, despite being loaded with passengers, cargo and enough fuel to cross the continent. A good catch indeed!
@athomefitness8059A look at Flightaware shows JetBlue BCS3 aircraft on 4.5 hour flights from LaGuardia to San Antonio making FL360 in 20 minutes. They still climb faster than the MAX, and certainly don’t have trouble climbing with transcon fuel loads.
I have always loved flying into and out San Diego International!! I love it when we do the vectoring turning over the Pacific Ocean and start heading head back east. It is so nice seeing the airport that we just left, the downtown city and different neighborhoods. Thank you for sharing...
There's a lot to unpack here. 1st, you got some good shots of my old alma mater, MCRD San Diego! 2nd, your camera really captured the notorious whale song of the A220. 3rd, I don't know of a more beautiful departure on a sunny day than SAN, with the possible exception of SFO. 4th, I think the A220 is now my favorite Airbus product.

Totally agreed! One of the reasons I like the A220 so much is that it reminds me of a mini 757 (my favorite plane of all time).

Happy Thanksgiving to you!!! Fly safe always...
You're very welcome!
And happy Thanksgiving to you as well!

"The whale song" - I hadn't heard that reference before, but now I get it haha
The A220 may be Airbus rebranded, but it is by no means an Airbus product. It's a shame Bombardier gave up on commercial manufacturing.
Thank you so much for this channel and footage!!
The engines sure do make a strange sound on takeoff
Love this!
@1:50 The infamous whale noise resonance.
Sounds like the max except abit more quiet
Yup - it does sound good.
Yes because it is more quiet.
