my face when at the beginning he says "its just tradition to delete the starter cube" and im like ok and i delete it but literally 3 seconds later he adds another cube
It is a tradition. I do it every time. It might just be that I'm to lazy to manually delete the camera and light, so I just press A then Delete(since you don't want those for game models).
I have put off making arms for a while, since I HATE topology, but this tutorial made it easy to understand and follow-able. It was an AMAZING tutorial. Thanks!
your channel is extremely fucking underrated, watched this video then checked out your channel and i see a lot of useful videos so props to you man, and thank you.
I am tearing my heart out, when you add the elbow, I press g and y, it does move the edges, but the faces on the top and bottom don't extend out to it, so I get a big hole!
@Single Sapling Games, I apologize for commenting over a year late but THANK YOU for this helpful video tutorial. You have many, many tips which are important as well as reasoning for why you do them instead of just doing them without any explanation. The dissolve edges + join for bone joints really made a difference as well. Cheers~ 👍👍
This is honestly one of the best tutorials I've ever seen. Decent mic, easy to understand. Very brief introduction with the basics you need to get, and then showing your setup so it's easy to follow along, complete with shortcuts etc. Explaining just enough that you learn the shortcuts while going, but keeping it brief so it goes straight to the action. I'm not even here to learn 3d modeling, was just looking for inspiration for 3d hands, but I'm definitely going to follow along now! Amazing work dude!
This was great! I had some issues with extra faces getting grabbed when I did alt + shift + left click (your right click) But man am I happy as a clam that i got this far and that it looks good. I was expecting to just do block hands and be happy for low poly but i've already exceeded what I want to do for my models. Up next rigging!
This is a great tutorial, but not if its your first time using blender. He is a very fast mover and doesn't explain things to the fullest. If you are already somewhat familiar with blender this is great. An example being at 9:08, he says to use J not F but doesn't tell us what those are. he says that one separates faces and another doesn't but I feel like I'm just following is key strokes and not learning
Hey im having a problem with the finger joints, my middle and ring finger are clipping together and when i hide everything except the middle finger it hides a portion of the ring finger too, any way to get around this?
@@SingleSapling Wait one quick question. Did blender change the way you do this part? Since when i would do it, it would only expand the top and bottom part of the arm and the sides stay still. Is there another way to do so? Or is it just me doing it wrong. 7:53
This has been super helpful for me so far! I just have one problem where at 15:00 when you select the fingers and stretch them out, it stretches the whole forearm. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Try changing the axis that the mirroring is on. I had the same problem and it was only because I had it on x when it needed to be on y axis and if that works then when he says "move on the x" or "move on the y" move it on the opposite axis hope this helps!
my face when at the beginning he says "its just tradition to delete the starter cube" and im like ok and i delete it but literally 3 seconds later he adds another cube
i guess it’s just a habit, i do that unconsciously tbh
you sacrifice the default cube to bless the one you make after.
It is a tradition. I do it every time. It might just be that I'm to lazy to manually delete the camera and light, so I just press A then Delete(since you don't want those for game models).
it is a tradition that all true blender-users must use
That stuff at 10 minutes about clipping was really cool. Also I didn't know about using J to connect two points and make a new face. Good stuff.
Nice
Yes, finally this series is back! Continue in it.
will do my friend
This is what I've been looking for for a long time. Thank you for giving this tutorial 🙏

This has been super helpful for me so far! I just have one problem where at 15:00 when you select the fingers and stretch them out, it stretches the whole forearm. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Nevermind got it fixed by turning off "Proportional Editing" with "O"
Please make it little bit advanced😊 Thank you for your new series!!
In the next episode I will make higher poly hands which will be more advanced :]
New sub sir, your areawesome
could i use this video for UE4? like follow the blender tutorial and import it into UE?
Of course
my forearm is 1 and half of my hand sizes
I don't understand why mirroring won't work!!! Other than that, pretty good tutorial!

please can you release your model, Mine looks so bad pls :=)
The point is to make your own :|
I can't loop cut for some reason,

Yeah
@@SingleSapling, Quick question: can I add a watch to my left arm, if so how?
Model a watch and joint it to the mesh
How do I do it?
Model a watch, and use ctrl + j to join them together
I would love follow along but i cant use blender lol
Bad pc ha?
@@SingleSapling I have i5 and gtx 1650 lol
