I stopped watching Denim and Company after Carolyn was let go. It’s on all the time now, more than when “Garolyn” was on . I never bought much but liked Gary and Carolyn. The hosts now don’t do as good a job of matching the separate pieces, etc.
Thank you for making this episode. I still can’t believe how many great host just vanished, plus there were so many more who disappeared. Most of the people who are host today are not up to par. And, their sister company HSN is on life support. 95% of the host are terrible, the network will focus on selling one or two products an hour… so slow. Not to mention the decline in “known” name brands offered to the customer.
When AI is used, it's a poor presentation. I used to love QVC and spent thousands and thousands of dollars. I dont even recognize what drew me in. When QVC left Rocky Mount, NC, a lot of people lost the only good jobs in the area. Those jobs were essential for that poor county.I will no longer spend a penny QVC.
What happened to Jacque Gonzales? I think she was fired suddenly on May 22, 2017, because she abruptly announced on her facebook page that she was leaving. No sendoff on the air or anything. She was just gone after being there for 15 years.
We were just talking the other night how there is only 1 or 2 host that we have known from QVC for a long time. Thanks for sharing all these Did Dan Wheeler do the Nascar car show on here? It was when they/QVC had a Friday night show when they sold Nascar cars and other racing things. Was that him?
Dan Hughes was the host of those Friday night Nascar shows, as he's a huge Nascar and racing fan. Sad that he's no longer with the Q , as he was let go , along with Carolyn Gracie, several years ago.

Will surely miss MaryBeth when she retires in March. Have watched her since the very early 90's and she was my late mother's favorite QVC hosts. She had both of her cookbooks from the 90's. Such a wonderfully classy woman and host. Very sad that all the older favorites are slowly disappearing from the channel.
Jeffrey had strokes, and I heard that he was partially paralyzed and never really recovered. I have also read that he passed away, but I don't know if that's true.
I used to shop QVC for years. But two reasons I stopped. First they had the same products and didn't offer enough new products every year. Then the economy collapse of 2008 made all their 14k gold and other great jewelry way too expensive. But even before then I noticed the quality of their jewelry became cheaply made. So, haven't shopped QVC in almost 17 years. But I still have thousands of dollars of their great jewelry when they used the best products and companies.

He never fully recovered, was left partially paralyzed, and was in a nursing facility (not sure if short-term or long-term) in Arizona. Later on, there was a rumor that he had passed but I don't know if that is true or not. I don't think he was that old when he had the stroke -- approx 50ish, I believe. Maybe if someone else sees this-- they might be able to add to this or confirm-? Jeff was one of the hosts when I first started watching QVC in 1992. I remember his perfectly coiffed hair (not a strand out of place!) and that big bright smile he had. And the beautiful suits he always wore on air. Very particular about his looks. And I remember his short-lived marriage to another QVC host at that time, Judy Crowell. By 1994 he was no longer with QVC.

When Antonella was diagnosed, (I believe) she and her husband were let go from their jobs so they were doubly hit with serious financial difficulties. I followed her journey through cancer surgery and chemo and it was very scary but her spirit and determination remained strong. Regarding Lisa R., I'm also surprised by her decision to fold her company. I don't know anything about her husband but they have relocated to the Bahamas and I wish her the best.
