This is awesome! It gives me an idea of the size I want in my yard. I’m a skater though so I’ll probably go with 6ft height with a 7 ft transition.
Awesome bro. Sick🙌
I was thinking about getting a treadmill, I might just build one of these instead.
Glad I stayed for the whole video. You shred! Cheers
Horse be like, dafuq that human doing xD
Bro this would help me with my scoot career. At the age of 10.
Awesome, living the dream 👍
I call it back Yard....Awesome Ramp my bro...
NO WAY HE PUT LIL TJAY ON!! I was literally just thinking to myself all this video needs is a banger. And boom!!
Man ,I wasn't expecting that, your a full on hell man with mad skills, wow just wow, Big Air,you get much rain? You can get paid for this type of content...!! Your kids will take after their ol'man...
My kids have seen my injuries and don’t want to do it to themselves 😔 pussys😂 yeah rain is 50% of the time here! Thanks 🤜🏻🤛🏻
YES MAT! Fully sending it by the end 👊
Nice one Mat ! Was just looking up something to build for my little lad and see you come up, hope your well dude x
Amazing 🔥🔥👌
Sick riding, at your skill level, you would really rock a ramp 1 foot taller and 6 feet further apart 👍
Wow it turned out so sick and looks like it would be nice skate on . 👳 Loved seeing you blast on the bike too . . Backyard ramps are the best .
Rad man!! Not seen you in a long time, stoked to see you're still shredding :)
Brad McNicol bro you know if your ever down my way come on a tour to my spots that would be soo sick! 🤜🏻🤛🏻
This video warmed my heart! love seeing you play on it with your family. also, lil tjay is an absolute vibe and im here for it!
Thaats tight.... yes
That's rad. Nice ramp dude. You give your little ones inspiration and aspirations. Keep ripping homie.
damn that horses are so cool
"Wife looking out the window at you in anger" lol
When I saw you drilling screws in the dark I thought you were a tweaker. But you have mad skills bro. Great balance. Best of luck in your box future
I am proud of you and I don’t even know ya.
I bet that horse would subscribe if it knew how to!
Yo, I’m building a half pipe in my back garden aswell it got delayed because Borona but this weekend I’m finally building it! Also I live in Chelmsford and I know that concrete spot I haven’t ridden or but I have seen it on people’s Instagram I would love to ride it one day!
Yes Tom!! I’m waiting for this virus to f-of too, so I can finally finish it! Iv just got a bit more of the flat bottom to do then it will be perfect! Stay tuned I’ll post a building and riding video of it! Then comment again when you’re planning on coming down.. like a couple of days before. Then I’ll see you down there bro, show me your ramp on Instagram 🤜🏻🤛🏻
@@m_t_burton will do mate i cant remember exactly where it is so you might have to guide me haha! and i will mate here is my insta @tom_henderson123 send me a dm and once it is done ill send u a vid i will probably post many many clips of it aswell! Also u are welcome to come ride it once this virus has F***** off.
What a brilliant addition to the garden, and some great riding skills. Will you be riding LP Wood again when the lockdown is lifted?
SNR BMX hopefully I will see you there, as I’d like to ride it, but can guarantee I will be falling off a fair bit initially, and it’s one place you shouldn’t ride alone. It does, however, look like an amazing place to ride.
Woah this is siiick🔥🔥!! Been searching for a video like this cause I wanted a proper halfpipe in my garden not just a miniramp! Can I ask how you went about getting free wood in the UK please as I'm looking to save some money on it as I'm 17 and still at school? Also does the 6 and a half foot transition mean the radius please? Thank you! :)
Yeah man the 6 and a half means the radius and go to building sites there is always loads getting thrown away. Just ask or don’t, and look in the timber skips. Glad you enjoyed the video. I had to take it down after 3 weeks cuz I didn’t get planning permission.
I'm just starting to do some research of also making a lifetime dream come true with building a wooden ramp at home. Sorry to see you had to take it down so soon, looked like a good ramp to sessio! Im wondering how do you come up with the angle of the transition? And was it good at that angle or did it need to be steeper or mellower? I'm a couple months off but any tips would be mint 👍🏼
Yo cheers man yeah sucked had to take it down. My ramp was 6 1/2 ft transition 6ft tall. Would of been more chill if it was 5ft tall with that transition. But if I could do it again I’d go for a 7.5 transition , 6ft tall. And a couple more feet on the flat bottom. But that would increase the price quite a bit… £1000+
@@m_t_burton Yea man, I'll keep my eyes open for the future and the 7.5ft ramp video :D I randomly stopped into a bike shop in the middle of nowhere, and the guy just built a 5ft ramp, so good to session so I reckon i'll go for that size for now, hopefully should keep it under to $1000 for me
Im freaking building one
fukin sick brah
Killer ramp! What are the transitions on that badboy?
Yo safe bro it’s a 6ft ramp with 6.5 transition with only 8 ft flat bottom. 12 ft wide 🤘🏻
You are so lucky I would love too build one but it would cost too much
Do what I did and just keep collecting free wood when ever you see it... 😉
There is something just really wholesome about this, although not really a fan of the rap music, doesn't really fit the tone of the rest of the video but still really nice project
Ahh man thank you, yeah the music was hard choice, I just went with what I was listening to when building it.. felt the lyrics and vibe was good
Did you prime it afterwards with some paint or so? Thinking about the Rain!
I had green fence paint ready to go but then something bad happened. Watch my next video .☝️
I was gonna say that ply looked too thin. Is there any coping I think it’s called. I used to have a couple old scaffold pipes I used to use. Looks cool though bro. Would’ve loved that in my back garden in my skating days. How’s it holding up today to mate ? 👍🏼 just see you got complaint and had to take it down. Could Neighbours even hear from the bottom of your garden. Wish people would just live and let live. Did you sell ok?
Yo yeah thanks bro it was well fun for the 3 weeks it was up.. I reckon they complained when I was building it. And no they wouldn’t of been able to hear it once it was completely screwed down, and they don’t even go in their garden. Don’t understand why. The dude who brought it off me still hasn’t rebuilt it yet so it’s just in pieces in his garage. But got my money back on it. And no there was no coping. I don’t do grinds. 🤜🏻🤛🏻
how much is it cost, i know you had to take it down but please answer because i wanted to do the similar one
I think if you had a £1000 you could easily build it! I got most the wood from skips of building sights.
how much did it cost? I want to build one in my garden too
Jonas yo bro I explain at the beginning where I got all the wood from.. But my estimations you could build a 5ft tall 8ft wide one for £500 or you can buy a ramp kit for a £1000 from 414.
Did you leave any spaces in between the plywood?
SNR BMX for thermal expansion, but idk idk mat!!! I’m tryna see if it’s something pple actually do cuz idk if I should do it for my ramp
@@smileo1007 Yes you should. You don't need much, when I built mine years ago, I simply left the width of a screw between the sheets, so probably 3/16" or so?
Thats a vert ramp not a haff pipe lol a haff pipe is a haff circle if vieuwed from the side and a vert ramp has a flat bit in the middle i really like the build tho
What is the width and length of your ramp??
SNR BMX, I appreciate it! Im about to build the same setup that u have in my yard. Any tips u think i should know? And do u know the measurements for the transitions?
TJ Madden Sweet!! Read the little info bit about the video, it’s all written down there. My advice would be, be prepared for lots of screws! And screw two screws both sides of each nogging. Also leave nothing bigger than a 5 inch gap in between each beam/nogging. Let me know how you get on!
funny
What was the total cost?
DV Inline I said at the beginning... but only spent £200 on ply and I didn’t mention £30 on screws
do you know the Radius you made it on
drewpscoot Persinger
@m_t_burton
Its a 6ft ramp with a 6 1/2 foot transition with an 8 foot flatbottom. I used 8 sheets of 18 mil plywood for the transitions over 200 support beams, 3 sheets of 20 mil ply for the deck, 10 1/2 sheets of hardwood 9mil ply. And just over 600 screws. It’s perfect for what I like to do. Air out. Thanks for watching! 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Should have taken the time to level the ground. That garden bed looked horribly uneven.
Then the lengthwise support on the flat are just begging for big sags. The ribs should be horizontal and will support you so much better.
Na the bed was even the concrete post in the ground and the wooden beams was all level to one another
@@m_t_burton ok that's good, may have just been the camera angle, but early on with just the framing it looked very uneven
how much did it cost
I only paid £200 for the ply wood but if I had to pay for all the wood it would of been close to a grand
Isn’t your flat section a bit short? Not bitchin’ cuz I did that mistake on my 3ft miniramp, I got used to it, it’s 7ft flat, should’ve been at least 8.
Dom Grimard yeah she’s tight but it would of cost more on ply wood and being in lockdown I weren’t allowed to spend the money. It’s 8ft but maybe 12 would have been perfect!
How much does this cost, plz reply
Subbing To Whoever Subs To Me I got all the wood for free of different building sites across Britain then paid £200 for the ply wood. But if I brought all the wood I’d say it would be like £1000
Subbing To Whoever Subs To Me yeah man pounds. Look at the description of the video and I list all the wood I used.
🤣how good is it to still be a big kid... but wit money
Awesome video!!!! But what the fuk is up with that music???? Come on bro
Haha cheers bro mixed feelings from everyone on the music you either love it or hate it. Shame 😞😂 🎶 “no one can stop me I feel like the greatest!” 🎶
@@m_t_burton hell yeah bro.....I'm 45 now n haven't stepped on a skateboard in 10 years but I'm itching to build me a half pipe....that's how I came across your video.....and you did a outstanding job on your mini....lol....I think ima go stroll around where there having construction and see if I can borrow some material......like the old days....lol
fucking much reepct building it from nothing :)
despite the mouyths to feed i think they woudl rather yo spenbd it on wood trhen crack loolol
This video is underrated. I’m a first time father. 25 years of age. I felt like my skateboard days are over. Now I have the motivation to build one these and get back at it.
Yeah boy!!! Keep it real! 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Dude 37 years old here father of 3 and after seeing this.. I’m thinking about it. No skate board experience what so ever, just some BMX racing and inline skating. Might have to lose 35 pounds or so before attempting stunts.
No doubt! I just got 25 acres and me and some old skating buddies are ready to get back to it. 🍻
