WoW! Aaron Sims Creative has made quite the impact in visual effects for many years now. Extreme talent and incredible synergy does not even begin to describe these phenoms.
I agree with other comments that this is an outstanding creative achievement! Even the CGI ship seemed to have weight and was given time to move through the shot, rather than being flung around. The whole thing PROVES desktop film making of the highest order is now here, given the right skills / talent. Based on the 6 weeks required to make 8 mins, both a feature project by the team and a feature made by "traditional" film making methods would take about the same amount of time to make. Just that these guys would do it ON THEIR COM-PU-TOR for about 1000th the cost, yet could still achieve a better quality story and experience than most modern blockbusters? Here's to EVERY creator with a cinematic vision having the tools to bring their gifts to the world!
This video was posted on TH-cam in 2021 or 2022, a short film by special effects team. They never mentioned UE5 at all but more of their own CGI animation
This story - go somewhere find a derelict/crashed ship, crew and later figure out it's you - has been done to death in probably tens of movies, but I have to agree it's very well executed here.
Stellar! This was more realistic than some of the Hollywood stuff. Although solo exploration is a bit "iffy"...the presentation is spot on. A beautiful team effort...Kudos.
This is way better than a majority of Hollywood trash they put out nowadays I say the team should make a full length movie of this make it about an hour and 20 minutes or more put it on streaming or box office this is definitely a very good short film we will make you rich put it on streaming and a full version
Yepp was great. The character was believable and likable. Better than in most Hollywood movies. The cgi was perfekt. Sound design was perfect. Design looked very cool and made sense. The story was fine.
I clicked the "Like" button sometime during the first 30 seconds of this upload. CGI movies have a future, with this level of realism they are the future.
Well done, great to watch, and real writing! Reminded me of an old Twilight Zone episode where a spaceship investigated a crash only to findout it is them.
Agree with all the comments on this vlog. It's true what they say: You can have all the special effects in the world, but if have a poor storyline and/or plot, it don't mean sh*t! This short clip reminds of the days of good sci-fi films with original storylines - respect is very much due! ❤❤👏🏾👏🏾
Extremely well done - Hollywood should take a refresher course from you guys to start producing quality content and stories instead of spending millions producing the bland lifeless movies we see today.
JUST BEYOND AWESOME... AMAZING... and the best thing is that this amazing video was made in an office with a team of approximately 5-6 people... now anyone with imagination can make STAR WARS or AVATAR at home...
You know those games where its so beautiful and your watching the intro but then it turnes into a game that you need to play i thought thats what was going to happen
We're quickly reaching the point where actors are going to become unnecessary for many movies. I'm willing to be they are working on AI voice generation to eliminate that expense from future movies as well.
@breakthroughmadeinusa9184 I disagree. I think by taking out the whole actor charade and movie sets, we could actually see a lot more novel writers turning their books straight into movies. I believe book writers are some of the most creative out of everyone. Better dialogues, stories and with indistinguishable from human AI characters it could be amazing.
Hey great work! This movie was epic. Im thinking about getting into film making using unreal engine so i want to know if you were able to make this on your own and how long it took you?
I was amazed by the good story, but even more by the graphics. It looked so clean, the already thin line of difference between real and CGI is becoming less and less visible. I reckon with A.I. these days, that difference may completely disappear.
"Just in case!" You go, girl! The special effects are good but is there a contemporary sci fi film where this isn't true? The script is just one cliche after another.
this could pass as a Love Death + Robots episode!
Literally was about to say that! It looks absolutely sick
I think it's a reflection of the brilliance of Love, Death + Robots that this is understood as a high compliment.
I wish they'd make full length movies outa some of those Love Death + Robot's episodes. Especially the Cthulhu episode.
That series is cool.
Excellent observation, I completely agree!

Where to watch it
Better story, art and direction than the last three Star Wars , Aliens or Terminator films. Great job.
That’s a bit of an exaggeration.
No it's not.

Wait, this is a GAME? 🤯👏🏻👏🏼👏🏽😎
Was literally on the edge of my seat watching the movie. Brilliant story told in 8:15... wow!

Yepp was great.

WOW better than some of the sci fi films on the channels that cost millions to make ..wish it was a full film ..
Wow! This was fantastic! The story, the look, the action. I was on the edge of my seat! Thank you!

Impressive work by Aaron Sims and his team.
Cryengine better ))
His skills are ultra wide experiences
But the storyline look similar to the alien franchise. Is she the new Ripley.??
Great short! It looked like it was live action. I want a sequel.

Awesome!!! In a few weeks of work!
Well done, great to watch, and real writing! Reminded me of an old Twilight Zone episode where a spaceship investigated a crash only to findout it is them.
This was excellent! Thought it was a trailer for a full length movie...although It could be, but I get the point of no return here.
It looked like it was live action. I want a sequel.
Amazing!!!!! Air fresh....

Great show 👏🏿 amazing work to everyone who worked in this video.
Really enjoyed this, more please? Now I want to follow the story.
Love it!
Grrr why can't they make the full film... excellent work guys!!
Excellent work 👏
She would have an AI robotic bodyguard similar to the one that went rogue in "Red Planet".
Excellent! This would be one bad ass game.😎
ooooukay, this was unexpected :D great great work and story
That was very cool to watch and I want more!
JUST BEYOND AWESOME... AMAZING... and the best thing is that this amazing video was made in an office with a team of approximately 5-6 people... now anyone with imagination can make STAR WARS or AVATAR at home...
This is brilliant! Loved it!
Love it, need more, ❤️

Its a forever time loop 😮
I feel like I watched the whole movie in that trailer
Didnt read the title, clicked cuz it was a movie...didnt realise it wasnt a real person until i read the end of the title.. :D very nice!
Why can't Hollywood create Sci-Fi this good. This was awesome
Forbidden Planet.
This Looks Cool my friends. Thanks.
If it's your last day on a job like that is like being 2 weeks away from retiring as a cop, it's obvious it's not going to end well.
Дааа замарочились создатели Супер ❤❤❤❤❤

No pilot should travel in space alone. Great visuals .
izanagi, you are under genjutsu, u just stuck there forever
WOW!!!!!!!!! Better than some Hollywood movies.
Low bar these days (cough) Disney/Lucasfilm
This clip was better than anything Marvel/Disney has served up in years.
its like a buffe that never run out.
You know those games where its so beautiful and your watching the intro but then it turnes into a game that you need to play i thought thats what was going to happen
That was very good ineed!
EXCELLENT THUMBS UP....
Fantastic, with one minor quibble, the airhose was screaming to get hooked on something.
Good idea
Let’s see, I am saddened by the loop without a exit.
Oh real genius!! Go into a dark spooky cave and stuff jumps out at you. Thank God for AI!!
We're quickly reaching the point where actors are going to become unnecessary for many movies. I'm willing to be they are working on AI voice generation to eliminate that expense from future movies as well.
We all made so many Rich
They’ll never be as good with real actors.
Facts! I definitely think the age of cinema is quickly coming to an end…The whole idea of “celebrities” is a little ridiculous anyway…
Wow ce qui n'est pas une mauvaise chose il y a un peu trop de riche sur terre...Et vive le Théâtre!

Stunning and brave!
impressive!!!
Very cool
This was amazing 😮🎉🎉🎉
Amazing! Am I the only one, who got flashbacks from Returnal?🤔
Magnificent ❤
Good video!
The line between video games or graphics and real movies is getting blurred every day.
Crazy, it even has Anamorphic lens flare.
When you shoot a monster N number of times, the correct number is always N+1!
WOW !!!!
Very well done Trailer. Where can I see the Full Movie ?
Hey great work!
This movie was epic.
Im thinking about getting into film making using unreal engine so i want to know if you were able to make this on your own and how long it took you?
I would take a guess that if you cannot read a description explaining the answer to your question you will probably struggle with making a CGI film.
Quite good.
"AI prompt: Make a short sci fi movie on a remote planet where the underlying message is a bug causes an infinite loop"
