If you haven't listened to it already, check out his Ambient Volume 1 and 2 compilations. some of his best and most original selected works. It goes back to his golden years of electronic music from the 90's. Some of the tracks especially from Volume 2 are pure sonic genius!!!!

This is just a track on Soundcloud, not on an official release, it's now on unofficial collection, and yet this is beyond what almost any other electronic musician will ever put together. Absolutely unique sounds. The master.

Just a friendly tip....lots of the *most* phenomenal music that one is likely to hear these days can only be found on sites such as SoundCloud, and my beloved BandCamp. These days, those are the places you go off-road to hear the really crazy shit. ;)
He sure made up for not releasing anything in SO long. His unreleased stuff destroys so much garbage music nowadays. Plus a lotta this isn't even new...just new to us. Aphex Twin is the God.

I had the strange feeling just now that I was listening already for an hour and a half or so to this immersive compil, but when I checked the magic was merely 16 minutes underway and that baffles me, and just to be clear it's not this dope or another that gives me this related known elongation of time effect.

This might be an effect of a derealisation experience, derealisation can happen under the influence of drugs, as a symptom of psychological issues for example in schizotypical personality disorder, or just when vibes are really outworldly and you feel like things around you arent real anymore :D

Google "how do I download a TH-cam video?" There are web-based programs that make it a short, two-step process any dumb chimp can do. Even me! Anyway, most of those web apps will also allow you to pick which type of file you would like to create when you download the video, so you can nab the "video" as in the form you see it in here, or, you can simply snag the audio in your favorite form--mp3's, FLAC, WAV, etc.
I think whirlybird's collections like this are pretty fucking stellar, and I personally have no desire to alter them. Not only did whirly select cream of the crop from RDJ's now nearly-mythological filedump on SoundCloud a few years ago, but he must have put a lot of thought into how to group each volume (there are four: SAW 3, 4, 5, and 6), and then whirly did the business of sequencing the tracks in what I hear as a deliberate attempt to shed some light onto the artist's working process...which is a huge deal, as everything publicly known about RDJ strongly suggests that the secret of RDJ's inimitable, idiosyncratic sound is not unlike that great lesson passed down by Thomas Edison: "genius is 10% inspiration and 90% prespiration." Obviously, RDJ's 10% factor is already some next-level brilliance most of us plebs couldn't dream of even if we had two brains. But RDJ's obsessiveness, his extraordinary talent as a tinkerer, and, clearly, having studied to become an engineer, all of that drives his 90%. Shorthand? Motherfucker is one helluva workhorse.
Last thing, and it's about your question. If you want to download these collections as they are, you now know how to do so. However, if you want access to all of the SoundCloud tracks individually (there are many more), they are all here on TH-cam (search "Aphex SoundCloud all tracks). In addition to hearing lots more great shit, you can make your own playlists if you like. Lastly, if this is your eventual aim, there are easier ways to download the files. Probably easiest to do so on the the internet archive. Just search for the Soundcloud account they ended up on, all gathered together (it's one of the user#### accounts RDJ created). And, there's always Slsk which still rules. P2P 4 Lyfe!

Serious question. Who the heck down-votes stuff like this on youtube? Sure, anyone can say whatever they want and youtube gives us the ability to click thumbs up or thumbs down, but this really bugs me. I just stumbled across Aphex Twin and have been listing to his ambient work regularly for the past few months. If I didn't like him, I would have just listened for a bit and not tuned in anymore. I would not register a down vote. His work is here for free, if you don't like it then put on another video or pay for something you do like. Am I not understanding something? Do some of the down votes come from people who are serious enthusiasts who know much more about the music than I ever will so they feel that this is not among his better work? I don't get it. Can someone enlighten me?

Genuine genius. Just imagine all the quality stuff he has not yet released. Literally we don't even know if he has released some of his "best" work
Like Thomas Edison said, "Genius is 10% inspiration and 90% inspiration. If you read about RDJ's early life, obsessive nature, academic pursuits, and his working process, it basically suggests that Edison hit that nail on the head with a golden hammer. RDJ has an extraordinaly beautiful mind and he's frighteningly intelligent, but it's that nose-to-the-grindstone work ethic that allows him to use his gifts to create otherwordly, inimitable music.
I'm listening to this whilst enjoying an alcoholic beverage and engaging my best mate in a 5-year long email debate about religion, life, the universe & everything. It's a rather compelling & complimentary combination.
