- Delhi is set to get its third woman chief minister, after Congress' Sheila Dikshit and BJP's Sushma Swaraj, as AAP leader Atishi has been chosen to succeed Arvind Kejriwal.
Sheila Dikshit was Delhi's longest-serving chief minister, who held the office for 15 years from 1998 to 2013, while Swaraj's tenure lasted 52 days in 1998.
Atishi (43) will be Delhi's youngest chief minister and is also set to become the second current woman chief minister in the country after West Bengal's Mamata Banerjee.

You have to grind down to doing your duties & performing for the good of the people & you get immense support from all corners of the establishment being the Capital City of India. But, like AAP, if you continue squabbling & smothering without performing any duties to upkeep the standards or support citizen’s requirements for betterment, it’s just nonsensical & a pity that Delhi Voters keep choosing a government that knows only to blame others for its negligence & fill in their coffers by raising expenditure invoices & perform zero to nothing!! @@dennischingpen-gs5zn The Central Government, either BJP or Congress does not/cannot interfere in the management of the Delhi Cabinet. Sheila Dixit was CM from Congress under Atalji’s (BJP Coalition) & never had this drastically poor situation. The fact remains till today that since the decade of AAP in power in Delhi, the Centre has had to take on various tasks & expenditures due to non performing AAP in Delhi. Especially, Delhi is the Capital City & all the World’s Embassies/ High Commissioners/ High profile world political leaders & its establishments visit Delhi for various top class meetings with our Government officials, hence the city cannot be allowed to be dilapidated. AAP should be got rid off from Delhi & Punjab & from the Indian Political Map & you’ll see a marked improvements for the City, be it double engine or otherwise. AAP NEEDS money to fill in their own coffers siphoning money by processing Invoices & expenses to cash in. A classic is their Advertising spending! It’s 25 x more spend on advertising than any other past governments in Delhi. Amazing, isn’t it?
