Skypark's MTB trails have seen a lot of changes over the years. There are changes I love and others I'm grumpy about. Like I miss the wall ride on Arrow and the old "M double" on Lower Arrow.
Hey Alan, this place looks so good! My family is going down to visit my parents in March in Yuma AZ. We are ending our trip in Palm Springs. SkyPark looks to be about 1:15 from Palm Springs. Would you recommend this place for an hours drive? It sure looks worth it to me. Especially since we are coming from Ontario Canada! This place looks like fun times. We’d have to rent bikes but it looks like this place takes care of that as well. Is March a good month for this place?
It’s definitely worth the drive. And March is a good time for sure. Make sure and check their website to see if there are any events during the time you plan to visit in case you want to attend or avoid them. 🤘🏾
They have done a couple small Enduro races and at other times will do an open run on Comet. Other than that, they tend to do community type events often with free bike demos (you still gotta pay to get into the park of course).
Do so at your own risk but I’ve not heard of anyone getting their bike stolen from within the park. I figure everyone in the park paid decent money to enter and aren’t in a bike-stealing mindset. 🤷🏾
@ i never actually hit it i was going to hit it the last time i went i got all the speed and everything and when i was finally about to hit it it was gone 😢

We've bumped into each other three times now over the years....once at Skypark, and twice at Summit. I took your recommendation not long ago and hired Max to coach me with jumping too. I'm sure I'll bump into you again at some point because even at 67, I have no plans to discontinue mountain biking any time soon. I'm spending all of December biking at several spots in Florida. (There are no mountains in fla, but some really cool destinations😊)

Not specific to eMTB, but I like to run Maxxis Assegai up front and DHR2 in back.
Did they change the Comet drop at all? It looks super chill on your video, but I remember it bigger.
It’s about the same. They added a little catch ramp for those who might hit it slower.
