Спасибо Елена Викторовна большое за ваш без ценный труд!!! Занимаюсь домашним заданием сразу перевод вслух, затем перевод вслух с записываем в тетрадь то что говорю. Техника работает так как заметил что стал запоминать устойчивые выражения. Ошибки конечно же есть, в основном артикли и предлоги. Но ничего. Как говориться Practice, practice and practice. Thanks a lot.

i assumed they had had - для меня это единое неделимое действие, мне не понятно, как можно иметь предположение перед тем как его совершать - выходит что она как компьютер это предположение сначала хранила в памяти, а после поместила на обработку в процессор ;)
я бы тоже упростил had heard, так как мы имеем before

Должно быть had run - третья форма - значит, опечатка.

А можно использовать в Рast Perfect частицу just. Например, " I had just arrived home last night when I saw that stranger" И после when тоже будет past simple?
да,правила те же, только меняется have на had, и точка привязки (present на past)

If you mean some moment in the past, you can say - they had been exhausted

Каждый вечер перевожу страницу английского текста в приложении(скачала худ. литературу), где непонятные слова можно кликать, чтоб в словаре не искать. А в субботу и в воскресенье учусь по Вашим урокам, перевожу тексты про Клер с русского на англ. Решила за 2 года освоить язык прилично))) Наверное, маловато усилий, как считаете? Еще и памятью хорошей не отличаюсь.Как поступить правильнее?
Здравствуйте! Конечно, я не Елена Викторовна, но, если не возражаете, поделюсь мыслями из своего опыта. Лучше малое регулярное усилие, чем большое время от времени. И ещё: все тексты, которые переводите, читайте вслух до состояния беглости. И с Еленой Викторовной каждую фразу старайтесь проговорить вслух. Иначе можно выучить английский "про себя", но и говорить на нем уметь только "про себя".

Why we couldn't use present perfect in "I hadn't seen my friends for a week..." instead of past perfect? What about the next stable expression "I haven't seen you for ages" and something like that?
We can't use present, when the situation is described in the past.

Почему already в примере после глагола идет? Оно перед глаголом должно стоять : it hadn’t already worked , а у вас already после worked ?
