This is one of the most mature Chinese dramas I've ever seen. The relationship between the two protagonists is made up of real and adult everyday life. Work, private life, intimate life, kissing, everything is shown in a mature way and not in a childlike way as usual. Here he made a big mistake. Instead of Mo Fei I would have reacted the same way. Something so important had to be he who said it. They work together, are they intimate and yet he was still looking for the right time to talk about it? Fortunately, the great love they feel for each other makes it all go through.

This was one of my favorite scenes. In many drama Mo Fei would have been jealous like Ming Xuan thought she was at the start of the conversation. But jn this drama she is not jealous she is upset that he had such an important thing happening and that he had a past with her but said nothing. Leaving her in the dark while everyone else knew what she did not. It's a very mature reaction.
The only thing the FL is, she’s disappointed about the ML not telling her that the second leads sister was someone the ML knew and was spending time with lately because of her condition. The FL felt The ML didn’t trust her and had something to hide. But really the other girl is like a sister to him. That other girl does like the ML but when she finds that the ML and FL are dating she respectfully backs off and is glad that the ML is at least with someone she knows and respects.
It's not just that, though. She says it all in the last line-- she's been working hard to fit into his life only to realize she was an outsider and left in the dark.
He is a jerk for not telling her and he tends to have this kinds of misunderstandings in dramas he's chosen. Just watched Boss and Me, stupid misunderstanding.
I can’t understand why he had to hide it from his girlfriend when he does not have a relationship with the other girl except as a friend. They were to be married 3 years ago but that has passed.
I know, this was a really bad decision on his part, it feels like he has something to hide. How bad would she feel that everyone knew except her. I would not forgive him for a long time....
One of the best mature series I have watched matches with tears in heaven and a few others. Not as immature as some C drama made for a different genre.

I would love to understand what you mean by someone who is 'nice'? Do people just throw each other away when they make mistakes? No relationship would work then. The person that makes you happy can also make you sad. The smartest will have not-so-smart moments or decisions...Every type of relationship needs work. That's how they are sustained.
He's a truly hypocrite. He always act in a controlling way towards her about the ones she's contacting but at the same time he maintain a close contact with his ex lol. Girl, you should dump him. I will not watch this drama bc i know, I can feel it, that she will stay with him in the end. It's so frustrating theses type of portrait of our gender, as if we are a bunch of insecure, slave for love and attention 😴 I hope that the ones who are watching don't catch FL behavior as an exemplo
I don't mind if the jerk ML change and learn to be better men in general and better partners to the FL in particular.......but they rarely do. Usually they just seem to wear down the FL to ignore the kind, considerate and loving SML and return to them and their jerk attitude and controlling ways. It drives me MAD. Case in point - Boys over Flowers, but really 98% of all dramas do it this way with the FL just going back to said jerk and being doormats forever. 1.9% is them actually finding a ML who changes for the better and .1% is the few who actually choose the SML instead.🤦
@amaiaindy1 yeah, I'll skip this then, i think i've got enough Asian dramas (mostly Korean) that have got me swearing at my poor tv. I don't think I'll ever watch boys over flowers again either.
@@troublemcallister730 You can watch "Love 020", "Please feel at ease Mr. Ling". In these dramas; the ml maintain proper distance from other lady from the starting of relationship and doesn't act like a clueless man at all🤗. If you have time you can check out those dramas.

Honestly I think she forgave him too easy later on because it wasn't just that he didn't tell her about this he lied to her because when he told her oh I'm working late he wasn't working he was with the girl and then when he was supposed to meet her he was like oh something came up at the office after turning around but no it was something of the garlic be honest allright there how easy it was for him just to lie to her and leave her hanging she was even in the hospital he didn't know but yet he was at the hospital and he didn't know but yet he was at the hospital visiting the other girl and that's what I mean it's like I wanted to find the right opportunity hes already seen how things have blown up before because of other people wanting to sabotage them So honestly he always felt like even in the drama Boston me when he didn't tell the main girl that the girl That lived in his home had a crush on him and then to say goodbye she kissed him on the mouth and everyone knew and no one said anything and yet when she was staying with her cousin and the boyfriend wasn't home he had a problem with that and he wanted her to move out and then until I mean OK fine you see her as family even though she has a crush on you but what was the need for her having to kiss you and then he expected her just to forget about it and act like nothing and it's kind of like the same thing here he wanted her just to get over it right away
completely agree and the writers of these dramas want the main girl to forgive readily and us watching too. So it seems this is a popular drama that ends well, but I stopped watching it where there are so many other dramas I can watch with better stories to tell.Have a great day!
