- Multi-platinum-selling country star Brett Young is on the next leg of his hit-making journey with "Ticket to L.A." His highly-anticipated second album is scheduled for takeoff December 7 on BMLG Records and builds on one of the most successful new artist debuts in recent history. The sonics are more vibrant & still sophisticated but emboldened with a pinch of playfulness and the themes have shifted toward cool-and-collected romance. Young admits that on this next album fans will have a lot to explore, but stresses his new approach is an evolution, not a reinvention.

Genuine? He sings with a tone like he lives in south mid-west with a dramatic drawl. He is a fake country pop artist from Cali. 100% formulaic pop country music. fine if you like it, but his music is fake as hell

@@jmforlife83 I saw his non-country looking face in a Ticketmaster email promoting acts coming to the area. I then looked for one of his songs here on TH-cam to see what this very So-Cal hipster guy sounded like. He sounded like he was born and bred in Nashville. So I then looked for a vid where he spoke instead of sang. Although he clearly has learned a bit of drawl, he is still another fake country pop star.. same lyrics, same stories, zero originality
His answers to the questions from the audience show that Brett is very intelligent and very genuine. He communicates these facts through his writing and how he sings his songs. This guy is just going to continue to climb in the industry! I love his music so much.
Brett, I just loved your interview! You are so down to earth and you know what you want. Keep up the good work. Your voice is so unique and special. Keep up those great love songs. Also I love it that you don't write about a can of beer but a glass of wine. That makes your songs top notch. I'll be listening to all your songs both new and old. Old never gets old to me. Thanks a great thing. Remember what I told you about your videos showing the story of you song. Fix that and you will be the King of country music. See if we can see the story of what you have written it will actually make us not on love your song, but fall in love with it. No. Southern accent would be like how Blake Shelton speaks. Brett speaks California English

The "stereotypical" American accent is the California accent. Southern accents are very distinguishable by the drawls and some pronunciation. As a Californian, sometimes I have to focus when listening to someone with southern accent. It's easy to miss what they're saying if you're not used to it.
Thomas Rhett also has Southern accent.

Yes he is from California and that is what gives him his unique voice, but I was wondering out of curiosity , what's wrong with southern? Just wondering? I'm a southerner and there is nothing wrong with a southern accent. Just saying.
