As an art person who has worked for some evil people in my day, I find Finster super relatable. I don't think Finster seems evil himself, just getting (hopefully?) paid to make monsters. Can't fault the man for living the dream.
I was never that big of a Power Ranger fan, but as a kid I remember being intrigued by this guy that makes baddies from toys. I was happy to add him to my collection for only $12.
The villains are where Hasbro’s Power Rangers really shine. If you’re interested, I’d recommend checking out their Deluxe Monsters. They’re great on their own and some of them can even be fudged into a Turtles collection as random mutants. Eyeguy, Pudgy Pig, and Pirantis Head are stand outs for me. Also recommend the Tenga Warriors from the standard figure assortment. A lot of them are discounted too.
Difference between Lightning Collection and Marvel Legends- they can’t cheat on the monsters. So usually the monster sculpts are unique and you can tell that’s where all the money goes. They definitely make their money back releases rangers over and over. Flat body Marvel Legends are easy to cut corners because they basically just paint the spandex haha. The fact they sculpted his hand antennas blows my mind. Glad you got him!

Evil Geppetto is a fantastic figure. There are some real gems they did for Lightning Collection. The monsters were great too. The various minions were great. The Cog is insanely agile and has fun accessories. It’s alternate head is Dr Who type of creepy. The Tenga warriors are Wizard of Oz wicked. It was a fun inconsistent line that eventually ran out of momentum. The IDW had some awesome sentries which Lightning Collection made the red tyrannosaurus figure. Too bad they didn’t make the Mastedon and Sabertooth versions. They looked cool.

power ranger lighting collection is a an underrated line from hasbro. all their monsters are new sculpts wit no reuse. their females have ab crunch n butterfly joints too. biggest flaw to the toy line is the paint at times, like Finster's neck. also single jointed female arms. but if you can get them on sale, which happens a lot, then they're deals. tmnt ranger figs are dope too imo and now you can get those 2packs for under$30. Also that green ranger shredder was a top 10 fig of that year for me.

Fans of power rangers are kinda funny... many dont want the monsters and villians of the line, they just like having rows and rows of the same color figures in different suits. The only reason I started collecting the Lightning collection line is because if Lord Zedd in series 1 being so good.
I think Hasbro hires a lot of freelancers to make sculpts which might explain the huge gap in quality between releases. I've just been cherry-picking this line since the start. Lord Zedd is still the best figure IMO. (I see now you already reviewed him!)
I don't have the Rita you have, but I got that Rita and Lord Zedd wedding pack. Now I have a small mountain of Power Rangers still in the packaging and I'm ready to sell! I would recommend you looking into Stop Motion. I really believe you could come up with some crazy funny stuff for your videos. I do it stop motion myself and it can be alot when you first start but it quickly gets easier as you go. Your posing segment is always on point. Just a thought but you should definitely at least try your hand at it see what you come up with
I was at the tail end of high school when Power Rangers was out, so I was a bit too old for it, yet I remember watching a little bit since there wasn't much else on. Definitely thought VR Troopers and Big Bad Beetleborgs was a little better, but those get ZERO action figures or even mentioned by the fan base...so weird. Anyways, I still ended up accumulating a small collection of hasbro Power Rangers stuff...cause they're just good. Always wanted this little old man creature scientist figure, but never saw it in stores. One of those figures I would've gotten, but only if I saw it in the wild. Congratulations on getting this cool little intricately detailed Muppet dude that apparently has a magic Easy Bake Oven for making Putties.
I scored Finster for 12 bucks USD as well along with the Ecliptor/Astronema two pack for less than half price. Even with shipping and exchange rate, it was a steal. Way cheaper than getting them from the Canadian Amazon, and I really was blown away at how good this guy is. How did this come out of Hasbro?

That was a great point about Hasbro making some insanely great products filled with accessories with one property and then on others your lucky to get extra hands......... looking at you Marvel Legends.

He does have branches and leaves growing from his nose, ears, and hands, but they are not painted.

I'm guessing the license is more expensive to keep for Marvel vs Power Rangers which leads to less accessories for Marvel Legends figures.
