I like my mushrooms, and from my experience, it tells me that my soil is watered and full of organic food for my grass. Love you and love the swing bud.
If you've ever taken down a big tree in a lawn, you will get mushrooms for years and years in that spot. I took down a huge mature maple 7 years ago and still getting them. Huge, funky looking mushrooms. Not much you can do about it until all that wood eventually rots away. They don't bother me.
Literally had these pop up the other day as well. Gave me and excuse to go ahead and get some fungicide down. Glad to know it won’t help the mushrooms go away. 👍🏼
I hear you about work, church, family etc. i moth balled my Harley for about 4 years as we have young children. The wife was bugging me to ride it or sell it. It’s on the road this year and yesterday after church we went out with 4 other bikes for lunch. My wife loved sitting on the back getting some wind therapy. Will be trying to do more rides like this in the future. Plus with me working 12 hour days for the past couple of weeks it was relaxing to go for the ride. All this to say, take a couple of hours to play 9 sometime.
Since you're creating problem areas on purpose... the next blight on the lawn that I would love to see or at least hear how to deal with is bentgrass. I killed off 2 large sections and a few little patches last August. Seeded 10lbs per 1,000sf of Cool Blue in those areas, and they're coming along SLOWLY. But after mowing today, 4.25" HOC, I noticed some bentgrass rearing its ugly head. I don't want to let it get out of control!!! BTW, I'm in RI with KBG and TTTF. - Thanks. And the headcover thing was hilarious.
Timely video I have mushrooms in my turf. What I researched on the web is that it is a sign of good organic matter which translates to good soil! I either pick 'em or mow 'em down! Great swing btw! Blessings!
It's been super wet here lately in Maryland near Annapolis. We have Red Thread pretty bad throughout our tall fescue lawns. Interested in how you deal with Red Thread for your customers and in your turf. Thanks.
Now that was funny!! When you got the golf clubs out I was like what's he up to now? I heard you talk about golfing in a few videos and when you took that swing I was like Pets got a nice swing and follow through. I didn't know you was a top 10 in driving the ball!! That's cool man.I suck at golf but haven't played much and you have to if you want to even be a so so player. It's a fun sport but like you when I was younger I worked like 60 plus hours a week, was the coach for my lids teams and was active in my church. I had to have more hours in the day so I took it out in my sleeping time, like 4 to 5 hours a night. I could do that but if I didn't try to get a 7 hour night sleep every once in a while my body would say rest or I quit. LOL
Thanks Mr Pete for the information and your time. I’ll keep an eye out on my mushrooms. Another question if you have time, I have Bermuda grass and my lawn company just applied R1 (guess) fertilizer on May 10ish. My yard responded well. Can I lay down humic granules with milorganite to keep the turf fertilized in summer. I irrigate 3x week for 20 minutes per zone. No signs of stress at the moment. Please help if you can, when you can. Thanks
Mushrooms are a tell tell sign of good soil. Pete I have started my own lawn care company. After, 20+ of doing it as a side job and watching you (others) on TH-cam have inspired me to start up my company. It’s called Sou-Mo Lawn care Company.
Pete, you're still a mess! 😁 I'm loving the honest natural humor you're sharing! Good to know about the mushrooms and look forward to the lessons on brown patch.
Nice swing Pete! Glad to know that when mushrooms happen to pop up that when I just ran them over with the mower, I was doing the right thing. Thanks again for what you do with helping us out... May the good Lord continue to bless you!
Hiya Pete!…French Lick checkin in!…Oh my…that sweet swing Pete!…forget the lawn …I want a golf lesson!👏👏👍🤣…Pete Dye course or Don Ross CC…Mushroomicide!🤣☮️⛳️🏌️♂️
I just put down some liquid detacher, which helps breaking down (composting) organic matter, and got lots of mushrooms within the next week. But I hear that many people are complaining about mushrooms, so it was probably just the heavy rain. I just knock them over with the back side of a rake, mostly because I don’t want my kids to play with them.
i dont have a couple, i have THOUSANDS of mushrooms in my yard!! and also a TON of brown patch. this is the worst year i have ever had for fungus. my yard is to big to put down Propiconazole 14.3 . I WORK 12 HOURS A DAY!! did i put down the wrong grass seed??
Nice swing pete! I hear ya on the golf thing. I gave my clubs to a single mom who's kid wanted to golf in high school many years back. Also like to hunt and fish.....BUT....the full time job, plus a lawn care and weed control/fert biz on the side, a wife, kid, and responsibilities sure do get in the way of free time.
7 minute to tell people to do nothing... Hmmm lolol I was looking for a way to get rid of the mushrooms... And Actually the world could stop spinning... For maybe your pets. My dogs got very sick eating mushrooms in the yard... I was picking them trying to keep them out of the yard... But HOLY COW... It's a non stop battle!!! Nice swing by the way.
Mushrooms are indeed a sign of a healthy lawn. Indicates a biodiversity exists and highly likely the soil has good microbial activity and 'food' for the fungus to grow.
I'm a bit bummed that I didn't apply my fungicide in time. I applied some from a big box store 2 weeks ago but this last week really kicked the brown patch into gear. Sprayed some Propiconazole this weekend to hopefully slow it down.
So Pete, do u get mushrooms in your tall fescue since u cut it high? If not do you think mushrooms have more of a chance to pop up in short grass like your little test plot there?
Pretty nice swing brother, and thanks for the reminder on mushrooms. If you dont mind, I would just add that some wild mushrooms can mess up some pets if they get hold of 'em, so just a heads-up to mind the furry family members when mushrooms are in bloom. Thanks brother Pete!
LOVED the soundtrack at the beginning Pete! Keep having fun with your videos. Appreciate all the content!!! Got my RGS and iron app down. Ready to dominate the next holiday. 🇺🇸 🦩🎆🎇
Pete, you have to formulate a Mushroomicide…if only to be able to say that more than in this video. Cracked me up! Going to get into golf now. That looked like a lot of fun.
I wish I saw this last week. I was freaking out and bought some Scott’s fungicide treatment. I still had them over the next few days. When I drove around the neighborhood I saw multiple over lawns with it. Felt so much better.
So funny. The first 15 seconds of the video I thought you were carrying some weird sounding blower and then you start getting closer and I see golf clubs & it's crowd noise. I'm like what the?
Pete, The focus and determination and the the decision to break out the big dog driver…was awesome and the it went sideways when you couldn’t get the head cover off the club!! Had me spitting coffee I was laughing so hard!! Driving mushroom caps is a great way to save some $$ on range balls and get in some swing practice!!
I'm no golf expert but Pete sure does have a nice swing in my opinion.
You heard those fans clappin!
That right knee is a little out of position. Udder than 'dat....not bad
Such a great video its looking nice and a great ontro.man!
Oh ya he plays some golf. Perfect timing cause those little mushrooms popping up all over my front lawn. Arghhhh
Oh yea for sure. I’m just going to Happy Gilmore mine. Gonna need another lawn leveling video after I’m through too.
I was always taught that mushrooms are a sign of a very healthy lawn. Just seeded a new area, and getting mushrooms popping up.
these are much sought after in Europe .... psilocybin seilanceata
I like my mushrooms, and from my experience, it tells me that my soil is watered and full of organic food for my grass. Love you and love the swing bud.

Wait, did you say you were 10 in the 🌎. SNAP!!!!!
Pete must of seen my comment on his last video thanks for the feedback!!
Good setup, strong grip, smooth take away, not over the top, smooth tempo and 325 down the fairway

Ha! Mushroom volunteers are a compliment! A healthy lawn. Mulch them back into the turf when you mow. -Danya
10th in the World in ‘02!!!!
Pete’s got a legit golf swing!
It's been super wet here lately in Maryland near Annapolis. We have Red Thread pretty bad throughout our tall fescue lawns. Interested in how you deal with Red Thread for your customers and in your turf. Thanks.
Had a customer call on Friday about the same thing. Mushrooms. I answered him the same way you would have.
Now that was funny!! When you got the golf clubs out I was like what's he up to now? Loved this video!!!
Pete, I’ve never laughed so hard when you were hitting those mushrooms w/ a driver. Hilarious
Love your products and your videos 👍🏻🤣
My neighbor girls painted my mushrooms with bright colors. Psychedelic mushrooms. They looked so cool

And I need some tips on how use a back pack sprayer or a pump sprayer?
Whats the best remedy for white flies (leaf hoppers)?
Nice swing Pete! Glad to know that when mushrooms happen to pop up that when I just ran them over with the mower, I was doing the right thing. Thanks again for what you do with helping us out... May the good Lord continue to bless you!

Heck of a golf swing there!!!
Thanks Pete I needed to see this video
I just put down some liquid detacher, which helps breaking down (composting) organic matter, and got lots of mushrooms within the next week.
But I hear that many people are complaining about mushrooms, so it was probably just the heavy rain.
I just knock them over with the back side of a rake, mostly because I don’t want my kids to play with them.
Soooooo, what you are saying is that the 1 spot in my yard that always has mushrooms 🍄growing after a rainy week has really good soil!!!!!
Hey Pete! Good information as always! Loved the intro of the video! 🤣🤣 thanks for making my day a little better with the humor!
Best lawn care video opening I've seen today! Bravo.
Nice swing Pete. You should try to play in a 9 hole league near home once a week.
i dont have a couple, i have THOUSANDS of mushrooms in my yard!! and also a TON of brown patch. this is the worst year i have ever had for fungus. my yard is to big to put down Propiconazole 14.3 . I WORK 12 HOURS A DAY!! did i put down the wrong grass seed??
This was a great laugh! Very clever!
Looking for a tttf that stripes for my fall overseed the darker the better any ideas?
Hey Pete, do you still have the coupon for big league stripers?
LMBO😂😂😂 Man brother you had me going with that golf swing on the mushrooms. Like the tips. Pete you are the man. Oh great form on that swing.

Awesome Pete! Great as always!
Hit some shine came out to find a bunch of mushrooms. I swear I saw a few leprechauns dancing nearby. All good
7 minute to tell people to do nothing... Hmmm lolol
I was looking for a way to get rid of the mushrooms... And Actually the world could stop spinning... For maybe your pets. My dogs got very sick eating mushrooms in the yard... I was picking them trying to keep them out of the yard... But HOLY COW... It's a non stop battle!!!
Nice swing by the way.
Pete, next time you’re down in Marietta, GA let’s play a quick 18.
Mushrooms are indeed a sign of a healthy lawn. Indicates a biodiversity exists and highly likely the soil has good microbial activity and 'food' for the fungus to grow.
I use a high rate of liquid copper fungicide (8oz / 1,000 square feet in 1 gallon of water plus 80/20 surfactant) if I am in between mows.
Nice swing Pete
Thank for a great intro. I can’t stop laughing
Thats a really good looking golf swing there
I'm a bit bummed that I didn't apply my fungicide in time. I applied some from a big box store 2 weeks ago but this last week really kicked the brown patch into gear. Sprayed some Propiconazole this weekend to hopefully slow it down.
A blower also works if your really picky about the mushrooms
I definitely like the golf swing approach to this Pete
Pete, very nice swing with the driver.
Hey Pete, how close did you come to whacking that go pro!
Pete at his best again. Love it!
Original blue dawn dish detergent does wonders to help with fungus in lawns.
I'm waiting for this. They have took over my lawn
You are getting more and more clever my friend, ha good intro!
😂😂. Awesome intro. You have a nice swing there Pete!
😂😂 awesome 👍🏽⛳
😂😂😂 Teeing off on mushrooms! I love it!!
I put down fungicide down a few days ago and now the lawn is turning brown all over. Great …….. just great.
So Pete, do u get mushrooms in your tall fescue since u cut it high? If not do you think mushrooms have more of a chance to pop up in short grass like your little test plot there?
The KBG area used to be my harden. LOTS of OM has been tilled in here. I rarely get mushrooms in my fescue
I've done seen it all now! A Rameses driver cover! I always thought you were a Wolfpac man! 🤣🤣🤣
How do you like the Ybravo?
Pretty nice swing brother, and thanks for the reminder on mushrooms. If you dont mind, I would just add that some wild mushrooms can mess up some pets if they get hold of 'em, so just a heads-up to mind the furry family members when mushrooms are in bloom. Thanks brother Pete!
When you lined up to take the practice swing, I thought you were gonna ‘Happy Gilmore’ it! I was sad you didn’t! Lol
LOVED the soundtrack at the beginning Pete! Keep having fun with your videos. Appreciate all the content!!! Got my RGS and iron app down. Ready to dominate the next holiday. 🇺🇸 🦩🎆🎇
I was told it’s due to overwatering? 😳
WOW! I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised to see that swing! My wife always chuckles when I go and kick the shrooms over.
How to get rid of clovers as well?
Dang maybe we should go golfing. Come on down to San Antonio.
That’s a nice swing! You are definitely a player.
Ky bluegrass. Where u buy it from
Lmao 😂 boy you are something else man lol
Pete, you have to formulate a Mushroomicide…if only to be able to say that more than in this video. Cracked me up! Going to get into golf now. That looked like a lot of fun.
Every morning I send my grandkids (3,5,7) out to pick any mushrooms they see. At the end of the day I take them out for ice cream.
Awesome way to eradicate those mushrooms! 😂😂😂
Now that is a golf swing! Pete looks like a player. 🤙🏻
nice swing Pete!
alright bro Ima need more golfing content from you!
Beautiful!!! Thanks!!
Love it Pete! 😀 That's the way I get rid of my fescue clumps
I wish I saw this last week. I was freaking out and bought some Scott’s fungicide treatment. I still had them over the next few days. When I drove around the neighborhood I saw multiple over lawns with it. Felt so much better.
