I like that you have made the S2400 to take physical upgrades. This is in the style of the oldschool gear , back before they were made to be tossed in the plastic patch/island when the next model is made.
Very excited about the filter board. Love that you have gain compensation and a 3 pole option for the low pass. Looking forward to the firmware update also. Any description of the feature set you are looking at for the effects board?
excited for the floppy emulator (sold my 950 ( still have my s6000 though!!) and still have my old floppies) and the card you just spoke about. i dont have much time to troll forums so i miss out on the updates ( still on 2021 firmware on the sp2400) , but i do follow your channel here and get updated when you post a video so thank you for taking time to do these.

Hah! Tandy Free Battery Club! I never quite understood how it worked financially as a kid. But, for at least 2 years, free batteries! Can't wait for the FX & filter boards :)
I wasn't interested in the filter board as I felt that the S2400 was already perfect. But then I heard 'LFO' and 'envelopes' and was sold. :) Oh and stereo live loops with variable lengths... Really looking forward to this firmware update. Thank you.

I thought the plan was for SSIs, but I didn't hear it specified in the vid. and you said they are configurable as all-pass, which threw me for a loop. so...that begs the question: can the six filter chips be digitally routed to be configured as a six-pole phaser? have you lot got a Mu-Tron style 'Uni-Phase' setting up your sleeve? 🤔🙃

When are the S2400's arriving in the U.S.? Been waiting for a Black one that was pre-ordered. I was told the ship it was on was arriving in Miami well over a month ago... then nothing afterwards.
being honest while i look forward to the analogue filters and will buy them if they sound great (sure they will) if you ask me as an owner i would request the current digi filters (i like them just fine, this is just a request) get reworked and add on several models - add saturation/drive pre and post etc and some added noise, all with the dsp - take a look at the hydra, tons of options and massively change the machine, the 2400 would be expo better
@Brad This is awesome stuff. May I ask if the gain staging is digital or analog at both input and output? I personally hope the sound doesn't get too HiFi with both the filter card and dsp card and take away from the 90s vibe. Very few modern machines have the 'thump' and sound that makes it stand out. S2400 is all that hence asking. Thank you for pushing the development and boundaries of the machine. Much respect!
Didn't the S2400 already have analog filters? I'm not talking about the DSP filters, but the static filters similar to the ones on the SP-1200. Couldn't you just get those filters under control?
Just found out today gonna get destroyed on your forum im a knob !! Lol !! I know you can fade with the envelopes but can you fade selection like a process i.e like the timestretch process !!
