The Sputnik III takes Spaceman’s famous all Germanium deluxe fuzz to the next level with features from previous versions as well as new functionality. At the heart of this interactive device is a vintage Soviet clipping diode and Germanium transistors which impart a special warmth and compression, unlike modern components. The Range knob provides a wide array of fuzz gain while the tone can be altered with the Filter toggle and corresponding Calibrate knob, which sweeps through an impressive range of EQ slopes. A big part of the Sputnik’s fame was due to the Drift mode, which has been included in all its glory with a separate soft footswitch that can be momentary or latching. The Drift’s level of fuzz corruption and self-oscillation are dialed in with the Scan control, which can offer gated fuzz or squealing tone generator sounds that combat your guitar’s signal in musical and not-so-musical ways.
You can also be sure that the Spaceman Sputnik III is handbuilt in Portland OR with great attention and includes an internal transformer, which means this Ge fuzz can be placed anywhere in your chain without negative affects to its dynamics or response.

Ive only ever played through a Nano Big Muff Pi as far as fuzz goes, so im super excited to try a germanium fuzz and especially a one that doesnt need to be first in chain

This is a good unit, but they are stupid boutique expensive. Kingtone aren't cheap, but are more reasonable.

Hey thanks for watching, that guitar was a Supro Silverwood! I don’t have it anymore but it was a nice playing guitar with unique Gold Foil pickups. No longer made but you can find them on Reverb for under 1K. ✌️

ok ok ok... i love new pedal demos and this sounds great but i get a little leary when the same pedal is demoed on 50 channels all within 6 hours of each other... it is starting to be like a info mercial at that point ...
No Cover Charge There’s an official release date, just like any product and we respect the pedal makers wishes.
That’s how the market place works. Demos are essentially info mercials at any rate no matter what you do? You choose the demo presenters based on if you like their personalities or playing and learn about cool new products. I like the people who show you a product and let you decide if you like it or not. Soft sales with expert players is my liking! Andy just shows you what it can do and doesn’t lead you astray. Sales are secondary to the true presenter! Truthfully representations are first!

These sold out in like 10 minutes. I had one of the sputnik 2s they are extremely over rated pedals. Zvex fuzz factory 7 is infinitely better.
Honestly every time I see these I just want them to sound as awesome as they look. Then I watch a demo and they always come up way short. Leaving me asking wtf would anyone use some of these outrageous sounds for. I’m a blues/blues rock guy and I could never justify the money for one of these. Andy is amazing though.
@@TheMidnightMayor yeah, well, you’re playing some pretty basic music so I guess you’d need some pretty basic tones. You know, something that screams background music for someone doing a commercial for “February is F-150 Monster Sale truck month at Emerald Ford at the corner of route 301 and 72”
It’s no surprise you can’t find a use for something new and original when you are playing a cover of Stevie Ray Vaughan covering Jimi Hendrix covering Howlin’ Wolf, covering Robert Johnson, who was himself often doing arrangements of traditional songs from long ago.
I mean, what would the regulars at the Rib Restaurant do if you showed up and played music or gear that was invented in the last 50 years?
