Even though I never learned Martial Arts ― after replaying it again ― it seems it allows the area with his arms & opponent's leg - to be in the air, instead of his body-weight being on them ― and thus he can keep everything in the same position. But maybe I'm wrong. Indeed there was no explanation.
The rotation creates a bit of space where the opponent manages to slip out his knee. By using the head, the space is eliminated and thus the knee stays in place when the rotation ends so that the heel hook can be applied with full control of the entire leg 🦵
@@Grapplinginstructionals - essentially what I was talking about But actually - it creates MORE space - where his hands and the opponent's leg are. Probably the weight of his own body ― would apply pressure on the position of the submission - weakening it ― and this way - it doesn't.
