Comment.......The pass through vents are to enable the air to return back to where the return duct is located with out those vents, if you were to close the door to those rooms, the room would become pressurized and the supply air would have nowhere to so you would have to leave all the doors open so the supply air could make its way back to the ac/heating unit.
I know people who have been waiting since they were going for half of what they are now. Best of luck to you though. Interest rates likely coming down will likely just continue to push prices higher.
