Disintegration as a power involves dissolving of material, while fragmentation is essentially explosions
Also, Vakama weakly hitting lehrak on the head is in reference to the play function of the Turaga sets, which basically just whack things with their staffs. It could also potentially be in reference to the play method of disabling the Rahkshi, which involves bashing their heads to eject the Kraata inside

I have to wonder how the Mask of Light was hidden below Ta-Koro for a thousand years... by an easily accessible staircase.
That final balcony scene after Teridax is defeated actually sorta looks like the interior of a being - there's clearly a spinal cord and rib cage right above the Toa and Turaga, and some fleshy bits on the walls IIRC. Also, a number of people claim to hear someone in the crowd say "He's a big machine!" in reference to Mata Nui after Hahli gives her motivational speech.
This movie just became a lot grosser :P
This is really good video I would like to see more of these for the rest of the Bionicle films and I really like how I learned some more details from the film from this like the Nuva armor on top of the Mata legs and Takua appearing in Takanuva's revival.

I think Metru Nui appears differently than in later years is because it was partially destroyed after the events of 2004/05. If I remember correctly the Rahagah were cleaning up and recapturing the rahi while everyone else was on Mata Nui.

Metru Nui was certainly damaged, but still had visible buildings and was fairly flat. I suspect they didn't have a model ready so just used an existing model of Mata Nui.
here's a theory:
this movie implies that opposite elemental powers have healing capabilities.
To heal Toa Tahu from his infection, Lewa specifically uses his (Tahu's) Magma Swords and Kopaka uses his Ice Blade.
And if that's the case, it would act as a setup for Takutanuva reviving Jaller with the powers of Light and Shadow.

3:51 actually nokama is translating the mask from english :) if you look closely (and can read the matoran letters) the writing says "Technic Organic Apps One Destiny" which is really fun actually since the first letters of the first three words spell TOA

seriously, why isn't the the Mask of Light and Shadow presented as using the alternate Kraahkan face?
Honestly I just think it got lost in the communications between the designers and marketing, and then was forgotten in later years. The Game does the complete opposite and uses the Avohkii!
The Movie version is based off the makuta prototype so I don't think the Krakaahn was made yet
It would be pretty cool if the bohrok looked more like the sets due to them being entirely mechanical while the Matorans and others being biomechanical

3:03 Copper masks are mentioned in this movie? Man, I need to watch it again to catch up on the stuff I wasn't aware of back when I was small and unaware of the deep lore.
5:56 They are different because one is about turning things into fine dust and the other is about exploding them violently.
8:57 As you can see at 8:52, one of them has what looks like Nuhvok's pistons on one of its shields, while the other is rounded (but NOT bladed). Another has its shield in a partially-open state. This suggests that these are Nuhvok, and that at least they are capable of folding cases around the weapon parts of their shields.

I just realized that your voice in your videos is getting higher and squeakier as time goes on. Is this because the original recording was too slow so you sped it up resulting in it getting higher?
The last two vids have had VO sped up by 10%. It allows me to speak clearly during the recording, but still make the videos concise for you all (or at least I try!)

"Hold your Rahi" references the expression "Hold your horses" which basically means "wait, slow down"
I know, the point was 'Rahi' is just the generic term for animal to them so it's a bit off. 'Hold your mahi' or 'Hold your Ussals' might have been more appropriate.

Wahi is a region and Koro is a village (Metru is a city-district) :)

We know that. The point was that it doesn't quite work given that 'Rahi' is just the generic name for basically any creature in the MU. Sorry if that wasn't made clear!
