Salmon in a LAKE?? Sockeye without Bait

  • Yeah so we went trolling with six downriggers at Lake Wenatchee where you have to use barbless hooks and conservation nets and stuff. The Garmin Force trolling motor was very effective on the Woolridge river boat. We found that the Salmon were 45 to 75 feet deep just hanging around. We slow trolled for them with Hootchies and dodgers. Smile Blades and spin-N-Glows were pretty good additions too.
    This video shows us catching said fish, but we talk about how they are caught too. give it a gander.

      Thanks man. Let’s get in trouble!! I got the biggest “resident” coho I’ve seen today. It had 6 red label herring in it too

    How far off is your flasher set off the downrigger?

      It depended on which downrigger. The bow riggers were set about three feet and the side ones more like 10.

      @@vitpav777 Yes a few of those rigs were also used at Baker. We were adding shrimp @BAaker but that doesn't matter a ton
