I'd been out of gaming for nearly a decade when I picked up a $20 vr headset that I could put my phone into. That led to me buying a Gear VR(precursor to Oculus Go), but I wanted more vr options w/o having to buy a gaming PC. So I bought a refurbished PS4 Slim and the PSVR.
That PS4 Slim came with a copy of Uncharted 4. That was the first console game I'd played in a decade, and I was blown away. What a game!
Only recently discovered your channel and absolutely love it, your content is great and entertaining too.

Really enjoy these ranking videos! I think the Plague Tale series may be one of the most overlooked. Charlotte McBurney (who plays Amicia) really deserves the praise she got. Her performance is seriously something else. When you hear some of her dialogue, you feel like you are watching a Tony Award drama! Also I'm really glad I finished Metro Exodus. I started it like 3-4 times, but I got bored in the first open-world location. But if you get past that, you'll love it! Also, I think the relationship between Artiom and Anna is one of the best relationships in games. Yeah, it may get a little awkward when Anna is talking and Artiom is still silent, lol, but I loved Anna in that game! Last thing... About Witcher 3. I don't know which DLC you didn't finish or start, but man... Hearts of Stone is awesome DLC - love it, but Blood and Wine... That could have been a separate game. You get a whole new location, and Toussaint is simply beautiful! Both DLCs are my favorite ones of all time!

A very very underrated masterpiece is Returnal. Holy crap if u like semi-open world high octane shooter, with a map and story that evolves every time u die, YES dying actually gives you more story beats. And it's like deathloop where ur stuck in a timeloop and have to figure out what the planet is
I am just a casual gamer , returnal seems like a nice game but the difficulty scares me a little bit.
Is it playable for a casual? 😅

Days gone is my number 1. Such a shame the sequel never happened. I loved 1 but it had a lot of potential for improvement with things like loot, horde mechanics and customisation

Great video. I've played a number of these games after a long hiatus from gaming. I have to say death stranding is one of the most unique games as far as story and game play go. I would definitely put it in my top 5 maybe top 3. I feel like Returnal should have gotten a mention. Absolutely beautiful game.

Just got the PS5 early August. Witcher 3 was the first game and now playing Ghost of Tsushima. Can't believe that's your top 2 too, the list is definitely spot on😎

This was a great and fun video to watch while editing some stuff on my own. I agree with you 100 percent on so many games, especially FF16, AC Odyssey as well as Origins. You also got me interested in a few more I haven't played yet and will definitely check them out later like Far Cry and SIFU.

I also got the PS5 in February 2021 and its been a blast. I've played all the games you mentioned except for Elden Ring, Demon Souls and Sifu. So many great games. Still dont know if I'll be getting the PSVR2. Love your videos and sense of humor bro you're awesome

I feel like 90% of the games on this list i own and havent played the majority of them. The backlog is ridiculous 😂😂 . We'll see how many games drop in 2024, this year has been packed with great games.

Last time I heard Batman Arkham Knight and Dying Light 1 were able to be played on the PS5. I remember hearing from somewhere that you have a PS4 so you could also be able to play the other three Batman Arkham games. Even if you're not a big fan of Batman or DC in general, just the gameplay is so much fun. Recently I started playing Marvel's Spider Man for the first time and before that I knew almost nothing about Spider Man and almost nothing about the Marvel universe but I'm enjoying the heck out of this game.
In my opinion Dying Light one and the multiplayer Zombie Invasion feature is the greatest video game ever created.

@@pakman0049 Yeah you have to get a maxed out character and get on The Following DLC with three maxed out buddies, drive around the countryside in maxed out buggies mowing down zombies waiting for the Hunter invasion. In all my years of gaming nothing tops the experience.
Excellent list. Since i can't afford the last of us remake i just keep replaying the remastered version over and over again. I did play the demo for the remake and i can see how spending the money would be justified. The last of us would definitely be in my top 3 even if only the remastered ps4 version.

I've played ghost of tsushima for 129 hrs (including playing Iki island) halfway through act 2 and I still have 2 main missions left in act 3 before I finish...WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE!

I actually picked up and played through a few of these games at your recommendation and you haven't steered me wrong yet. Played through Gotham Knights a few months back and really had fun with it. No, it's not perfect, and the framerate was... rough at times. But well worth a play through for the story alone. Especially at $20 or so, you can't go wrong. Dead Island 2 was an absolute blast, just wrapped that up a couple weeks ago. And Calisto Protocol and Sifu are... on the shelf at least, waiting for the bangers to stop dropping for a little while. And good on your for the shout outs for Alan Wake, Immortals Fenyx Rising and Kena: Bridge of Spirits. I think these games are way underrated.

@@C0rnern I did indeed. It's fantastic. Played through to platinum on PS4 and then when the PS5 upgrade came out, played through the Iki Island expansion on PS5. One of the best games of the last generation for sure.

@@C0rnern Not bad at all, really. Most of the collectathon things like finding all the fox shrines and haiku just happened naturally as I was enjoying the game. The trickiest ones for me were one where you had to kill an enemy with fall damage since they don't like to go over the edges and bowing to the 10 hidden shrines. Needed a guide for that one.

God of War Ragnarok, Ghost of Tsushima, Hogwarts Legacy, Jedi Survivor, ELDEN RING, Armoured Core 6, FF16, Cyberpunk 2077 when DLC drops in a few weeks, so many great games to play if you’re just getting a PS5 right now. Crazy I feel so overwhelmed 😂

The algorithm brought me here. Good video, and I have the same feelings about Stray. It is incredible. My partner surprised me at Christmas with a PS5. This was obviously when they were still hard to get. So I only have the digital version, I love it however without the disc drive I am unable to access the updated versions of Death Stranding and Ghosts of Tsushima 😢

I love Days Gone. I've played it on PS4, PC and again on PS5. It's a crying shame that it's not getting a sequel. And regarding Jedi Survivor, I just finished it on PS5 and the bugs have been fixed. Go ahead and play through it again.
Days Gone was slept on, those freaker hordes are insane upon first discovery. Haven’t gotten a feeling like that from a “zombie” game in long time.

I wager many included here listed were cross gen because Sony needs the larger player base to make a profit until the adoption rate picks up. I would have included GOT, but i completed the game on PS4 back when it launched, i have the Iki Island expansion to complete, so i will have some experience of the PS5 upgrades then. Great video man, shame a lot of the games were PS4 games given a frame bump or a little graphical enhancements rather than PS5 only titles, but regardless, it was a solid list.

Play Returnal dude - it will not disappoint and will easily be in your top 10. Deathloop is also worth playing although might not be to everyone's liking. Great video and list btw. I'm playing through the Plague Tale series on your recommendation 👍
Returnal is a masterpiece, if u like 3rd person shooter, mystery, aliens and timeloops then its for you
The first game I got for my PS5, which I got fairly recently, was Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and I had a blast with it. The visuals, the story and most of all the characters were so amazingly done. The combat was a bit repetitive, I think but still fun. It's not my favorite game out there but for those who haven't played it, I recommend it.

I love Zelda and Mario but now when I play a lot of games that’s also on PS, I decide that I need that. After buying it I see there’s a slim coming out. Should I turn it in and wait or just go for PS5 on Christmas? Don’t feel I want to wait more🙈Thanks for this list, many of them is in those 20 first games. So exited to be a part of the PS5 world. It’s a slow burner but I loved it in the end!
I'm currently 10 hours in, don't understand the controversy it's amazing and with some fine tuning and a little bit more focus on action then Deathstranding 2 will be a masterpiece
