Well done sir. Also well done avoiding relegation with that team for 2 years is impressive. Especially in the Prem.
I can't disagree that the owners have to be responsible for what they did that season, but there are a few things I want to address. Even after they sacked Rooney, I still feel like they had enough games to save themselves from relegation. However, their terrible away form was one of the factors that relegated them (14 points in 23 away games). If you look at some of the games they dropped points at the end of the season, particularly away at Rotherham and Huddersfield, you know how brutal that was. They ended up getting relegated with 50 points, which normally is the "magic number" in almost every season of the Championship to survive (one of the six teams in the Championship to suffer relegation despite getting 50+ points). To make this even crazier, Bolton Wanderers in the 2017/18 season only accumulated 43 points yet they somehow survived, that points tally wouldn't be enough to finish 23rd in the Championship 2023/24. What do you think, Goodwin? You can give me your thoughts if you want.
The way I see it, if the owners didn’t sack Eustace in the first place, Birmingham may have been in a promotion battle instead of getting relegated Number one rule of pretty much anything, if it works and isn’t broke, DO NOT FIX IT😂 They f***ed around, and they found out, every problem they had last season basically started with that decision, was just a domino effect from that point onwards.
Kinda messed up not converting Roberts to a Striker. If there's no signings in the first season he would have been a younger and higher rated option for striker than Jukey and Hogan are.
Please could you rebuild button we finished 20th in league one survived on the last day but recently we were bought by the Nordic football group so it would be a cool concept.
