They also use those large saran wrap rolls in the warehouse industry to wrap pallets of items that are placed in trucks to prevent them from spilling over the place during shipment.
Honestly, $10 at my local tire shop for a demounting seems like a much better way to go. I've removed more then a few of these Z-28 wheels over the years, and you can get a fair amount of corrosion and rust pitting on the inner barrel, especially if the wheel hasn't gotten much use in years (they are 50+ years old in many cases now). I understand the temptation to take short cuts, but I always seem to end up being the guy who pays for the shortcuts taken by previous owners. Be thorough, do it properly, and it'll last another 50 years.
AutoRestoMod Car Restoration Modification they sure are the last of the RWL for a tire in that size range. Currently on the '77 Vette I have th-cam.com/video/GMO__-a0crU/w-d-xo.html. Even my '93 Vette doesn't have RWL but I do like the old school look on the 60's, 70's, 80's sports cars.
Yes... Happy Birthday.. 🎂 Very Nice Job on the wheel 👍,,,, but as you said, pulling the tire would make it So Much easier, for me anyway.... And you said BFG are still making raised white letters... ?
🤘
Rock on!
What about a 91 camaro Z28 rs
OK.
From 68 to 82 Corvettes had an 8'' wheel
15 inch diameter.
68 model still had the 15x7 if I'm not mistaken
Happy birthday Autorestomod! Thanks for all you do!

BFG Radial T/A, I mounted and balanced shit loads of those back in the lates 80's.
They are still around. In fact, they are the last ones doing raised white letter non-LT radial tires (besides Coker Tire).

playing cards wedged all around instead of foil tape
I learned that one after we finished. It's in my list of things to do to paint a wheel.

Z28 emblem way off location on the fender….not even close
Well, it's not a Z/28 so we're going to fix that. The car seems to be either an RS or an RS/SS
Happy 8th Anniv.!!! Post up a link to the first episode!
And aluminum was still out there in 1970, Mercury had very bad result with the Radir wheel on the 1968 Cougar XR7-G.
