I fished one of my first tournaments last Thursday on a local lake with a lot of pressure and after watching your videos and learning how to use a glide bait my partner and I were able to successfully get a limit, and three out of the five fish came on that bait😎 I will now be throwing it more often thanks for your amazing videos

I literally just seen the bass pro shops near me stocked up on some I think new xps wake up call wake bait I picked up one of each color! When I see everyone has whopper poppers tied on it’s usually a sign for me to tie on a wakebait to show them something different

My absolute favorite way to catch bass. I broke my Massachusetts PB last May on the Tactical bassin 210 wake 7 15oz I throw the Pats, Slammers, Spro 50. Bull wake, Lanciotti Gill, and trout so many 😂
Dude, spent so many days on Lake Shasta catching those spots and everything else in the world..lol. I’m biaeed because I grew up so close but it’s my favorite lake!

Wake bait fishing is some of favorite bites. Slammer has caught me a ton of fish over the years.
Slammer is a good one, I’ve got a few.
All my wake baits got stolen with my tackle box years ago, thanks now I know where to get some.
I left my car unl9cjmjed for just a minute and that was long enough for some thug to still my tackle bag. And we all know how much $ a back pack can carry full of swimbaits and crankbaits. Made me sick 😫

Ive been throwing big wakes on my local lakes for years. The time of year for the main lake i fish is shad bait from October-end of may. Then switch to gill baits.

Fishing big baits is definitely something you gotta put your mind to. Whether its big glides, hudds or wake baits, you just gotta keep throwing it and believing that a huge fish will crush that bait. Whenever i go out and throw 8-10 inch Huddlestons people stare at me like I'm crazy lol. Just get into the right mindset and even if others are catching 2-3 pounders on senkos, texas rigs, jigs, poppers, spooks and stuff, just remember that when you get bit, it aint gonna be a little 3 pounder. Your catch will easily be the catch of the day!

any chance you could do a video about big baits in the summer? like glide baits and stuff, or does that fishing die out in the heat of summer?
I take the big baits out deep with me in the summer - my 7” Daingerous slow rolled, etc. It’s been a while since I’ve busted one out, but I like to throw a Lunker Punker on top too. Depends on the fishery too
Can you give a few specific wakebaits to look at?
You’ve got big rats, the red fin, a mann’s 1-minus, etc… those are the old school foundation
Have never really been into big lures. Just can’t wrap my head around it. But you and Ben got me to throwing one last night with no luck. I’m not going to give up though. I’ll try against n today, and tomorrow, and the next day, and….

I prefer downsizing to a grub or minnow over going big personally
Started throwing big baits exclusively this year so I had to get confident with them. Got 50 fish on rats this year alone. Got burnt out fishing conventionally. Big baits got me in love with fishing again

where are the links for the baits?
The baits are just the basic foundations - rat style, red fin, mann’s minus 1… numerous companies have their versions of these
I have some old school wood baits we know nothing about! Send me your info I’ll mail them to you bud!

I never ended up dropping a link to baits just setups…. Staple wakebaits are the mann’s 1 minus, the red fin, or rat baits
Many companies make their version of the 1 minus crankbait style… Rapala and a few others makes their version of the red fin. Then the rat which spro makes a plastic one but there’s a lot of wooden custom ones

Chris, I am still catching fish on the Zaldangerous swimbaits 👊😎. Limited budget to start wake baiting 🥹 I will set a bit aside and get started.
I have a derby coming up next month where I have to catch 10, what would you suggest for July to get the most fish in the kayak?
Can’t go wrong drop shotting a worm around - Googan Drag n Drop or Robo. Always gets bit and always fills limits
